Fabulous place to stay. Spotlessly clean and in a lovely location. Ideal for our needs as we were visiting family nearby. Nice pub, The Trout, a ten minute walk away for good ale and nice food. Sally and Steve were the perfect hosts. Friendly and easy to communicate with. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

Great cabin, super cosy and much bigger than expected. beautiful surroundings and a great area for star gazing. not a bad word to say :)

Loved Dawn’s cottage, ideal for walking the Cleveland Way and for visiting lovely places along the coast. The hot tub was great , it made the holiday.

We had a lovely family holiday in thornton dale. The cottage was lovely, enjoyed the hot tub and open fire. We went to The Buck pub a couple of times and had fab food, portions huge! lots of amenities near by. Communication with Ian was great. Would highly recommend.

I ended up doing a solo trip with the dogs and I felt very safe and comfortable on my own. The cottage was clean and cosy. The large Porch is a great design to have an area for drying off coats / boots and with the hot tub. Love the field walks, it’s so nice to be able to have somewhere just a short walk from the accommodations where dogs can be let off lead. Very satisfied with this stay, would recommend to friends and family and I would definitely like to visit again one day. Thank you for a pleasant stay x

Perfect location with amazing views of Whitby from the house and from the hot tub. Would maybe usually expect some additional basic items such as milk and shower gel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

We came as a group of 7 and we had such a nice time. The weather was awful but that didn’t matter as the place was very warm and was extremely central. Loved the layout of the place and the hot tub! Comfy beds and sofas too! It was actually better than we were expecting so thank you 😍

Richard and Kim were amazing hosts, we had a few problems before arrival and they were understanding, accommodating and offered to help us with a solution, although this wasn’t needed in the end. Richard was very responsive with any questions and helped make our stay easier with information on local taxi firms. The cottage was beautiful and peaceful and we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend. Thank you 😊

We loved our time in the Photographer’s house. It was so pretty, warm and cosy inside with beautiful outlooks from its many windows. It was very clean and everything we needed was provided to make our stay super comfortable and fun. The village and surroundings are gorgeous. The local pub just a few minutes walk has a great atmosphere and serves delicious fresh seafood. We hope to come back next year.

Thank you Lisa! From the moment we arrived we settled straight in. Everything we could possibly need from all kitchen utensils, cooking equipment, plenty of extra towels, bedding, cleaning products, toilet rolls, even a toothbrush in the little bathroom drawer! We loved the garden and even enjoyed picking apples from the tree and cooking them. I have already recommended your lovely house to other people and would definitely return if in the area. Thank you

Great holiday home. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough room to all be together but also have our own space. Great location within easy access to the sea front. We managed to park 3 cars outside each day when arriving back after being out. The kitchen was so well stocked and we cooked 2 nights during our stay and all sat around the dining table to eat. Anne was so helpful before we came with helping and recommending things for us. Highly recommend!

amazing house right in the heart of whitby (our favourite place)! we wanted to spend new years eve in whitby after seeing some pictures of people doing it last year on west cliff, this property was within walking distance to all that we wanted. Zoe was always helpful when ever I needed a question answered regarding booking or anything else. the property it's self is great it's very welcoming, quirky, homely and has everything you need for a great stay. we will definitely stay here again 😀

wonderful cottage in lovely location. local pub a couple of doors up and fish and chip shop close. beautiful decor and loved the sea theme. would highly recommend bus service into whitby was great.

I have to say the Coach House was remarkable and the atmosphere of the place isn't really fully captured in the photos; it has so much warmth and character, which is conveyed not only by the age and general look and feel of the rooms, but also by the many artefacts that were strategically placed around the house. Having said that, we had access to all the modern amenities we needed. Needless to say, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. We would highly recommend it.

had a lovely few days at the house. Nick was really helpful, wirh suggestions of restaurants etc to visit on our stay. house has plenty space , and very easy to find. 4 decent sized bedrooms, kitchen well equipped. thanks for a lovely stay

Thanks so much - my parents really enjoyed the cottage - we were staying on a different cottage on The Bay and booked them this one. They said it was their favourite one so far (I think their 3rd visit to The Bay now). Loved the beach walks and a joy to be in Filey again.

What a beautiful cosy cottage this was…It is beautifully decorated and had lots of homely comforts. We spent our days walking on the wonderful sandy beach to Filey and back and our evenings dining at the pub then playing family board games… absolutely perfect family getaway.

Had a wonderful weekend at Collie Cottage. Heather & Fred were great hosts, being helpful in providing some recommendations on eating venues before we arrived. The house is lovely, kept to a very high standard and was very comfortable for our relaxing weekend away. We look forward to staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage on the Bay at Filey. We received a warm welcome when entering the cottage as flowers, birthday banners & chocolates had been arranged. We were staying in Filey to celebrate our mums 83rd birthday. The cottage was lovely with nice decor and furnishings. Everything was clean and well presented. The ground floor bedroom appreciated for our elderly Mum. Good range of crockery in the kitchen, with everything we needed. We would stay here again. Victoria the host was very attentive, sending welcome text in our arrival. Thank you

We had a lovely weekend at Lee’s place. It was clean and comfortable. There is plenty to do around the area and a short walk to the beach.

Perfect holiday cottage! Had everything we could have ever needed and more! Very comfortable. Love the location as it’s only a short walk to the beach/ easy drive to other parts of the North Yorkshire coast. The public areas at The Bay are in need of some maintenance.
