Entire apartment in green Florence South

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My wife and I stayed for six days at the end of October. We can't be happier about having this beautiful place as our home while visiting Florence, with day trips by train and bus to Lucca, Pisa and Siena. Adele waited for us to give us an introduction to this apartment which is integral to but separate from the family home. The ceilings are impressively high and the windows large. The bedroom is very comfortable with a lot of wardrobe space. The apartment has mostly hard floors and was warm and peaceful. From the hill just behind the house there is a scenic view over olive groves to the city of Florence. The bus outside the house provides frequent and easy transport to the city of Florence, yet the road is not busy - we were awoken by robin's song in the morning! A supermarket with a wide selection of food is 10 minutes' walk away. If we visit again, we will definitely spend time to explore Bagno a Ripoli itself and its surrounding countryside. Thank you Marco and Adele! Ian

Casa Mandorli

Could not have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Florence. Sieci/Pontasseive is an awesome area to walk around and learn a bit more about local culture and partake in that culture. Being able to come back after a long day of exploring to open up all the windows and enjoy the space and vibes of the town was amazing.

Art beauty and....sweet dreams!

Very nice hosts Donatella and Alessandro, for help and advice about Tuscany, we were greeted with cake and homemade olive oil. The house is located in a great environment, close to Florence: you can get there both by car and by train (train station in Rufina or Pontassieve). In the garden, a pool with a view, a beautiful neighborhood, an olive grove. About a kilometer from the house is the village of Acone with a good restaurant, we recommend. The house itself in a classic Tuscan style, two separate and large bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen. It's a good idea to bring something for mosquitoes (although there are a lot of mosquitoes in the house). We recommend it!
