Guesthouse vacation rentals in Carmel Valley

I had a great time at Lunas home. The location was great and I felt straight at home. I would love to come back again.

Magical! That is the word that just kept coming up for us! What a lovely place! Chrissi and Stephen were just as sweet as the place! Great and easy location to get to all things Santa Cruz (of course the Redwoods too!). We just loved the cozy and unique vibe, the gardens, you just step into a little retreat as soon as you arrive. It had all we needed. Parking is street parking, which we had a slight concern with (I am an over packer!), but we were able to find a space right near out front every time (literally!). We will be back, I have no doubt!

First impression- WOW! House is very spacious and clean. Stocked with every need. The house was very quiet inside. Owner (Gabriel) was very helpful with local recommendations and accommodating a special request. Gabriel was very responsive and stayed in communication with me when I had any questions leading up to the time of our stay. He was also very kind and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location near to stores, restaurants and downtown. Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to.

Helaine’s place was perfect for our trip to Monterey. It was clean, quiet, and well appointed. We’d be happy to stay again for our next visit to the area.

Cute guesthouse, total privacy, great location in Santa Cruz. Sarah sent clear instructions and we had no problem finding extra towels, coffee, etc. There’s even a little s’mores kit included to utilize the fire pit—which we unfortunately didn’t have time to use. Street parking was easy to find and we could walk to the pier or SC downtown. Very much recommend and would stay again.

We spent almost 3 weeks in this cozy and charming apartment. The location is perfect for experiencing all that Santa Cruz has to offer and we walked to the beach, wharf, and Boardwalk daily. Many coffee shops and restaurants are blocks away. Mike was extremely responsive and friendly, but not intrusive at all. We hope to stay here again.

I had a short but great stay. I met Tom and had a couple of pleasant conversations. He has been around the area for a long time, and it was interesting to hear about it. I am now a fan of Carmel and will likely stay again.

This was a very nice unit that I was able to get on relatively short notice. Having a full bathroom, stove, and fridge is always a big plus. I would stay here again under the right circumstances.

It was great to arrive at Chi-Pings place after a long day of driving. Clean, beautiful, and spacious inside. Not too far of a drive from restaurants and beach in Carmel. Would stay here again!

Josephine’s place was perfect for my stay! The place had everything I needed, from essentials to thoughtful extras that made my visit even more comfortable. It was spotless, well-organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Check-in was a breeze, and the clear instructions made everything super easy. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and well-equipped stay!

Amazing stay! Location is unbeatable (I grew up in Santa Cruz so I know!) the house itself is immaculate with a lot of thoughtful touches from the hosts. Comfy beds, too! Wonderful patio for little ones to play as well. I’ll be back!

Martha’s home was perfect for our family of 4. We had everything we needed during our stay and Martha was very responsive to any questions we had.

Excellent location, nice kitchen access and outdoor space. Felt like a high end/older folks vibe than a traditional hostel. Me and my 10 yo felt very welcomed. Had everything we needed to make our short stay in Santa Cruz fun. The online check in/key system was kind of a pain- my out of state cell service was crappy so even though I did pre-check in there was more online to do upon arrival- luckily the kind woman at check in helped me face to face - but something to keep in mind if you have bad service or aren’t super tech savvy. Also the beds weren’t super comfy. That said, I would definitely come back/stay longer.

We will be returning for sure. Kimberly and the space could not have been better for our needs. We've been touring colleges with our daughter and for our UCSC round we found the location to be utterly peaceful and quiet and exactly as described and clean as a whistle. It's one block from one of the prettiest beaches and has a ton of food/amenities located nearby. Kimberly was highly communicative and offered lots of useful suggestions both for restaurants and things to do while in the area. If our child ends up at UCSC we will be benefit from this space regularly. Thanks for the wonderful offering and help, Kimberly.

Stayed here for a few days and it was beautiful. It felt secluded and peaceful. I enjoyed sitting on the deck outside and just taking in the views. Host was friendly and provided useful instructions. I would recommend screenshotting the directions and check in instructions prior to arriving since you will lose service and this will make your experience arriving easier. Overall a wonderful place to go to relax and enjoy the beauty of Carmel.

Great place. Wonderful location, cool little pad with nice amenities. We had a wonderful time there and would recommend it. Outdoor shower and the record player were nice touches.

We had an amazing stay at Elia's property! All four of us were thoroughly pleased with the thoughtful amenities and included features—it truly felt like a home away from home. This guest house was absolutely incredible. The location cannot be beat. The amenities were awesome. The house was well stocked, we did not need anything. Our host was amazing, so kind, so responsive and very nice. We plan to come back next year for the Sea Otter Classic race and this will be the place we stay. Super clean, great location and the most awesome host.

What a gem of a place! We loved our time there as a family of four and the location was perfect. It is on a quiet street and close to the beach (short walk). There are many supplies, cooking equipment, games, etc. to keep the whole family occupied and at home! Winnie was so kind and a pleasure to communicate with. We’d love to come back!

The space is accurately described. It is very private, a modestly sized one bedroom duplex with everything you need like washer dryer and full kitchen amenities. I liked that it was so close to the beach and restaurants too, we had Tramonti and it was great. If this is available during my next vacation I will definitely try to reserve it again

Awesome cottage; amazing vibe. We loved our stay, the only thing we didn’t like was that there was so much to do in the area that we didn’t spend as much time relaxing/enjoying the cottage as we wish we had. We didn’t need to reach out for anything, it really was like having a home away from home, but there is no doubt that if we had needed anything our hosts would have been responsive. It was truly a worry free stay.

This place is so cute and cozy. It’s away from all the chaos and so quiet! Mary was an excellent host and is very responsive!
