Stunning place to stay. The view is one of the best in NZ. Very comfortable and so peaceful and relaxing. Melanie and Karl are wonderful hosts. Can't wait to visit again and hopefully soon!

Words cannot express what a magical and serene time we had at Jacks beach shack. We arrived and were immediately greeted with sea lions sunning themselves in the cove. The tiny house has everything you need to feel at home and the views and peacefulness in the surroundings cannot be beat. There is so much to explore within a 30 minute drive if you can pull yourself away from the heaven on earth beach for long enough to do it. Our only regret was not booking for more days at this location! I would not be surprised if Jacks shack and the Catlins ends up being our favorite part of the honeymoon. Crossing my fingers that we are lucky enough to return one day! Thank you so much ♥️

This is a great wee spot to stay. The view is outstanding from the deck and living room. Immaculate place, outstanding shower too! A definite place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful break away in a beautiful part of NZ.
