Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Caniço

The house is nice, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Since it is located in the mountains, it is not properly heated, and it was occasionally chilly inside. Additionally, the house is situated near a road with frequent noisy traffic, which can be disruptive. The location listed in the advertisement was incorrect and led us to a spot about 500 meters away from the actual house. Furthermore, the house is several kilometers from the waterfront, and there’s nowhere to walk nearby as there are no sidewalks. On the positive side, the hosts left us wine, cheese, and a local cake, which was a nice gesture. The jacuzzi was in good working order, adding to the comfort. However, caution is needed with the staircase in the house — it is quite steep, and there’s a risk of slipping. Overall, the stay was fine, but some aspects might not suit everyone.

Had an incredible stay! Such a beautiful house in the mountains, stunning views, big house with plenty of room for six! Fully stocked with everything you could need. Hot tub was amazing. Very clear self check in instructions. Quiet neighbourhood but not too far from a local shop etc. Roads leading up can be quite steep and parking outside the property is quite tight and would suit a smaller car. A very special stay, will be booking again. Many thanks.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Carlos's home with our four kids +1. Each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable home. The location is outstanding and the views from the patio, second level deck and the pool are unbelievably beautiful. The setting is very private, yet close to what you need. Carlos and Maria responded quickly to questions and they were very helpful as needed. If going back to Madeira Island, we would definitely stay here again. Fantastic place

My wife and I came to Funchal to celebrate our honeymoon, we had an amazing stay! Alicia met us at midnight since we had a late flight and gave us a personal tour which was very kind of her. The location is amazing, felt safe and comfortable, thanks for a great stay!

Garry contacted us directly and made the arrival very easy for us. We were received by him in a very friendly manner and he had great tips for us on how to spend the time in Madeira well. The accommodation was well equipped - the jacuzzi was of course the absolute highlight that made our stay special. Since the weather on the island changes very quickly, it was the perfect way for us to relax there if the weather did not play along. The location is great for walks in the nearby Levadas. It was very clean and well maintained, so we felt comfortable. Thank you!

We stayed in 4 different airbnbs in Madeira and this was the most well-equipped and comfortable one. It‘s a big house with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a large kitchen/living room area downstairs, right next to the town square of Jardim do mar and 1 min walk from the restaurants of the town. There is air con, a lot of space, a balcony and even a jacuzzi. I definitely recommend this place!

TRULY MAGICAL! Due to the many positive reviews, we honestly had high expectations, but these were even exceeded. The house is even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures – especially the outdoor area and the view. But the interior is also very beautiful, furnished with great attention to detail, and most importantly, very clean. The equipment was also very extensive – everything you could possibly need and more was provided. No wishes were left unfulfilled. Filipe was also the perfect host. He welcomed us on time, even though we arrived earlier than expected. When we had a small technical issue with the pool heating, he was there within half an hour and fixed the problem immediately. We also ate at his restaurant, and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit! All in all – PERFECT, and we will definitely come back! :-)

We were very lucky to spend a few days at Villa Sweden and it was just amazing! The hosts are incredibly warm, attentive and helpful – they made our stay perfect from the beginning. After our adventurous explorations of the beautiful island, Villa Schweden was our little paradise to relax. The views are stunning, whether at sunrise or quiet dusk. The jacuzzi was the absolute highlight and let us relax in the best way every night. The villa is decorated with a lot of love, super clean and nothing is missing. Thank you so much for this wonderful time!

Very nice welcome by the hostess, we were abundantly gifted with bananas, eggs and something sweet. Thank you again Nelia, even for the help in the evening with the shopping. The house is very quietly located on the mountain, so you need a car. It was very clean, modern and equipped with everything necessary and more, also the shakusi was used almost daily, after the hikes it was a real highlight! Only, in November, the house was usually in the fog again from the late afternoon, so it was a bit damp, and we were therefore rarely able to use the wonderful balcony after our hikes. But that's probably because of the season. Overall, we felt very comfortable, and definitely recommend!

Stunning views, amazing outdoor space with pool and hot tub. Could walk down to town for beach, restaurant, sunset. Had a few issues which the host responded immediately. Plenty of room for our group. Easy to get to lots of other towns and things to do with a car too. We could not have picked a better spot for our stay and in Porta do Sol.

The villa was fantastic- we would happily stay there again. It was very clean, had everything we needed and we loved the east facing sunrise views from the wonderful balcony and outdoor area. I honestly don’t think the photos do the views or the villa justice- both are spectacular. It’s a 15 minute drive to car parking in downtown Funchal (we used the spacious one beside the cable car in east Funchal- there may have been other closer tighter options but that one worked best for us). Several supermarkets nearby. Make sure the property info pack is there on arrival- it was missing when we arrived and took a few days for it to be delivered but other than that it was the perfect experience. The best stay!! Tobias was so responsive, flexible and accommodating. The house itself is beautiful - it doesn’t get more relaxing than this. It is spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped, and feels very safe. It is a bit of a drive from Funchal, but we didn’t mind it. It gave us the opportunity to experience Madeira in a unique way, plus this side of the island has a ton to do too. Highly recommend this property!
