Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Cairns

Platypus Retreat is everything it says and more. Secluded, romantic, beautiful. We picked up Groceries before we arrived, but found out when we got there that we didn’t need as much as we thought. Condiments, tomato sauce, salad dressing, butter, all sorts of spices were all there. While we had a bit of trouble using the oven, it was no problem- we used the bbq instead. We arrived to music playing softly and homemade bread. Just wow. And there was complimentary milk as well. Oh- and as true Americans, we fully appreciated the ice machine. The pool was delightful, albeit slightly chilly for us. We could have asked Gemma to adjust, but it was our last night and we just relaxed in the spa instead- as the rain fell and the local animal life were serenaded us. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing way to end our whirlwind trip to AU.

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s Brinsmead house. It is a stunning location and truly feels like a retreat nestled in the hills around Cairns. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including snacks, fresh fruit, milk, a fresh loaf of bread and butter to get us started when we arrived. We enjoyed a lot of time on the beautiful and spacious decks that the house offers, and made good use of the barbecue. Helen was a fantastic host who left easy to follow instructions for our arrival and departure. We will definitely consider another stay here in the future!

Colin's home is a beautiful rainforest oasis away from the bustling city core. He gave some great restaurant recommendations too. He made sure the AC was on prior to our arrival so that the home was cool admist the summer heat. He was super responsive when we encountered an electrical issue when the circuit breaker tripped while we were cooking (which hasn't happened before with his previous guests). He gave us clear instructions on how to solve the issue and sounds like he will be looking into it to prevent it from happening again. Overall, my family was super satisfied with the home across all levels of cleanliness, amenities, decor, ambience, and feeling right at home. Thank you Colin for hosting us!

The place was so beautiful and spacious, very good if you’re travelling with a big family. Clean as well. Jane is a great communicator, answered to queries very quickly. I have an amazing stay I felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and clean place to stay. Great location too. If Jane wants to improve l encourage a smart tv in the living room area, however if you’re planning to stay there definitely bring something you can watch on your laptop or a projector for entertainment. Other than that beautiful place!!!

Susie’s place was an absolute GEM in Cairns! Stunning little house with so many ammenities and such a laid back vibe! The pool was a highlight and we did not hesitate to use it everyday! The kitchen is also phenomenal and stacked with all the essentials AND more! I would not hesitate to book this place again if I come back to Cairns! Just FYI, it’s a bit of a distance from Cairns CBD so ideal if you have a car (or just use Ubers/taxi like we did)

SUNDREAM is an absolutely beautiful property. Whether the weather is good or bad the view is truly spectacular. The house is very open and light, and the upstairs main bedroom is a dream. The host was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. The only downside was the lack of blockout blinds or curtains in the bedrooms. This made getting my little one to sleep very difficult, so having the option to have the room dark would have been great. Overall I would highly recommend this property ☺️

We had a lovely stay at Machans Beach! Cute beach cottage style place that we loved 🥰 Quiet beachside area walking distance to a cute cafe and awesome local pub and only 15 mins to Cairns city. Amazing communication and very helpful hosts. We’ll definitely stay again!!

It was a beautiful relaxing place. Loved feeding the wild bird's and the pademelons came up every afternoon for a feed. Lovely gardens,good walks around the streets and down to the dam.Bed very comfortable, big spa bath and shower,lgreat kitchen with everything you need. Deck was where we spent alot of time enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast provided was good and would recommend if you want a very peaceful break. And host was very friendly and helpful.

The unit was clean and tidy and in the heart of Yungaburra. We enjoyed the spa ... the kids that is ..... and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely week at Maree’s Villa. We loved the location in the Sea temple. right on the beach you could hear the waves at night. right next to the pool which served cocktails and happy hour and a stones throw from the restaurant. In the resort. It was perfect for our family with teenage kids they could swim in the pool, or go to beach, any time they liked. We dined at the restaurant several nights. We didn’t use the plunge pool in the Villa it was too cold. Welcome platter and drinks on arrival were so lovely, especially after a 3 hour flight. beds were good but probably a better selection of pillows would improve sleep quality. We found the furnishings in the Villa luxurious but the pillows didn’t match same quality. would benefit from an upgrade or adding a few more. air conditioner was also extremely loud at night. maybe due for maintenance? Overall it was a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

Beautiful and relaxing stay, just as pictured!

We really loved this beautiful cabin in such a peaceful location. We loved the sense of space in the cabin, the really lovely outdoor bath, and the undercover area where we sat and relaxed. The cabin was spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there. The cabin is very private but well within driving distance of local sights. We met Robert when we arrived. He was very friendly and helpful. The eggs, milk and welcome chocolate were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. We loved a couple of visits from Dexter the dog too. We highly recommend this property and would stay here again.
