Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Cairns

Platypus Retreat is everything it says and more. Secluded, romantic, beautiful. We picked up Groceries before we arrived, but found out when we got there that we didn’t need as much as we thought. Condiments, tomato sauce, salad dressing, butter, all sorts of spices were all there. While we had a bit of trouble using the oven, it was no problem- we used the bbq instead. We arrived to music playing softly and homemade bread. Just wow. And there was complimentary milk as well. Oh- and as true Americans, we fully appreciated the ice machine. The pool was delightful, albeit slightly chilly for us. We could have asked Gemma to adjust, but it was our last night and we just relaxed in the spa instead- as the rain fell and the local animal life were serenaded us. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing way to end our whirlwind trip to AU.

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s Brinsmead house. It is a stunning location and truly feels like a retreat nestled in the hills around Cairns. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including snacks, fresh fruit, milk, a fresh loaf of bread and butter to get us started when we arrived. We enjoyed a lot of time on the beautiful and spacious decks that the house offers, and made good use of the barbecue. Helen was a fantastic host who left easy to follow instructions for our arrival and departure. We will definitely consider another stay here in the future!

I have to say, Colin’s property was simply comfortable, unique & within a great location of Cairns. Despite the hot spa being unavailable due to maintenance, Colin made mine and my family’s quick stay like as if we were at home. The backyard/pond area submerged within the rainforest was an absolute conversation starter and not to mention an amazing atmosphere to have food and drinks near. Will absolutely mention this place to my friends and family if ever they were travelling and requiring a place to stay within Cairns.

Excellent house in a great location.. TV could be updated to a smart TV so the kids could watch netflix or to watch footy over the weekend.. but other than that no complaints at all 👍

Had a great stay at this property! It was very spacious for 7 of us and we spent a lot more time hanging out at the property than we thought we would. Would 100% recommend for any family’s or mature groups staying in the area. It’s very homely and we all had a great time!

The house was beautiful, and all the little extra touches/inclusions made our stay extra enjoyable; from the breakfast items & fruit bowl left for us at check in; to the kids toys & games in the children’s room! Super peaceful house with plenty of space for the whole family!

We had a lovely stay at Machans Beach! Cute beach cottage style place that we loved 🥰 Quiet beachside area walking distance to a cute cafe and awesome local pub and only 15 mins to Cairns city. Amazing communication and very helpful hosts. We’ll definitely stay again!!

An absolute gem! Beds so comfy that my uncle wants to buy the same mattress when he gets home. Air conditioning flexible and user friendly so that everyone was at the temperature that suited them. Property is spacious and ideal for a big group - lots of places for different sub-groups to congregate. Kitchen was perfect for our needs. I pool was amazing - loved that it’s not chlorinated. We had an awesome and felt like kings staying in this amazing house. We all loved it from youngest to oldest! Couldn’t recommend it more highly!! Even the super comfy sofas

Great location. Lovely space. Excellent welcome, advice offered and hospitality. Make sure you walk down to see the platypus on dusk.

The unit was clean and tidy and in the heart of Yungaburra. We enjoyed the spa ... the kids that is ..... and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely week at Maree’s Villa. We loved the location in the Sea temple. right on the beach you could hear the waves at night. right next to the pool which served cocktails and happy hour and a stones throw from the restaurant. In the resort. It was perfect for our family with teenage kids they could swim in the pool, or go to beach, any time they liked. We dined at the restaurant several nights. We didn’t use the plunge pool in the Villa it was too cold. Welcome platter and drinks on arrival were so lovely, especially after a 3 hour flight. beds were good but probably a better selection of pillows would improve sleep quality. We found the furnishings in the Villa luxurious but the pillows didn’t match same quality. would benefit from an upgrade or adding a few more. air conditioner was also extremely loud at night. maybe due for maintenance? Overall it was a lovely stay and would recommend to others.

This place is magical and I highly recommend it to others. I trusted the reviews that I read and they were spot on. Beautifully decorated and smelt amazing. The most comfortable bed and the floor was stunning. They have done an amazing fit out in this space. Very unique and private with every little detail given considerable thought. The best place to spend our 40th wedding anniversary ❤️

Highly recommend! Such a peaceful get away, plenty of privacy & a perfect place to wind down. The room was really spacious & felt really big yet cozy all at the same time! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for cooking, along with extra blankets & pillows if needed. Bob & Christine are extremely kind & attentive, perfect hosts. Loved every second of the stay.
