Stayed at the Palm Cove house with my husband and 2 children for the last four days of our holiday in Cairns. The house was beautiful and clean. We had such a wonderful time there. Everything was amazing. The house is even better in person. Would 100% recommend and if we return to Palm Cove we will definitely stay here again! Thank you.

La Palma Luxury Retreat With Heated Pool Palm Cove

JoelleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at Robb's place. The entire home was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Robb has thought of everything you might need and has provided it. We enjoyed beautiful weather and spent most of our days relaxing either in the pool or by the pool. What we appreciated most was the privacy of the Villa. If you decide to venture out, you can easily walk to the Palm Cove beach area, which has plenty of restaurants and shops. The area also has a convenience store and liquor store, with a larger grocery store just down the road. Be sure to reference the detailed local directory provided by Robb, which lists area restaurants and things to do.

Ba Nahan - Blush - Close to Beach, Great Pool

BryonyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We loved staying at Bridget's place, and we hope to stay again one day! Beautifully styled, spacious & well equipped with everything you could need to make it feel like home. The little extras made things so much more comfortable. Gorgeous pool that we pretty much had to ourselves most of the week, great BBQ & alfresco area. We could walk to the beach and was just a short drive into town. Communication with Bridget was also excellent. Highly recommend this place!

On the edge of the Daintree at Cooya.

Spacious home with plenty of room for our 2 families. The alfresco area and pool were a highlight with floaties and toys for the kids as well as lots of towels to use. The huge kitchen was well equipped and the welcome basket was a nice treat. Jules was helpful & responsive. Great base to stay to explore Mossman Gorge & Cape Tribulation area away from the business of Port Douglas.

Beach House 5 bedroom 5 bathroom

ReneRating, 5 stars3 months ago
John’s place was the perfect home for our family holiday. We all meet from interstate and this property was everything we could’ve hoped for. Plenty of space, with each bedroom having their own ensuite. The pool was definitely a favourite for everyone and such a beautiful space. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone’s trip to Port Douglas as it’s about a 10 min drive out of the Main Street and it is super private and a quiet area. It was a very clean house, John was very responsive and helpful when needed.

810 Ocean View Apartment ~ Kitchen, Laundry, Pool

LisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Do yourself a favour and stay here. The apartment is perfectly located. It’s a stone’s throw away from the shops at Cairns Central and it’s easily walkable to the esplanade. The kitchen is well equipped for whipping up meals but there are plenty of restaurants closeby too. The view from the balcony is one of the draw cards. You can see the activity on the street and the water beyond. Mary and Tammy are responsive and lovely hosts. They provide clear communication and directions. We loved our stay and you will too.

We had a lovely stay at Amanda’s place. The unit is very tidy and well equipped so we felt very at home. The location is excellent with easy access to restaurants and essentials. Amanda is very responsive and went out of her way to ensure we had a portacot and high chair for our toddler. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Port Douglas.

Will was always contactable and forthcoming with information regarding our stay. The house was in a quiet residential area and the neighbours were friendly. The kids loved the pool and the layout of the bedrooms is great for a large family or multiple families (such as ours). We really enjoyed our stay at Will's place.

All About Port Douglas

The laid-back Port Douglas on the far northeastern coast of Queensland is a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. This tropical Australian town boasts balmy weather, superb dining, and easy access to some of the country’s most renowned natural features.

Spend the day sailing or snorkeling the world’s most impressive coral reef system, or winding your way through Mossman Gorge and the oldest surviving tropical rainforest. Swim in the calm waters of Four Mile Beach or simply take some time out to relax at one of the town’s many wellness spas. In the evening, you can wander down to the grassy area at Port Douglas’s shorefront to watch the sunset over the Coral Sea or enjoy the day’s catch at one of the town’s fine-dining restaurants.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Port Douglas

Port Douglas has a tropical climate, which means it has two distinct seasons: wet and dry. It also has warm temperatures year round. The wet season runs from November until April, and brings humid weather and significant amounts of rain, especially in the morning and evening.
