Loved this place! In addition to the view and location, there were many special touches that really increased the experience. From the beautiful paintings on the walls to local ceramics and the woven baskets, the hosts took their time stepping up the decor and feel of the place. I was a big fan of the beautiful glassware. My husband loved the view. My daughter really appreciate d the quality soaps and bathing ítems, as well as the puzzles. My son loved all the extra blankets. We all loved the number of excellent eateries and the proximity of the park and boardwalk. We will be back!

We had a great time during our stay! There was no soap or shampoo in the showers when we arrived, but this wasn’t a major issue. Plenty of spare towels and blankets which was very appreciated. The hill is steep, but the listing made this clear and we were well prepared. Pool was wonderful and we were oftentimes the only ones using it, which was super nice!

It was my best experience on Airbnb, I will definitely stay at this place again. The apartment is in excellent condition, very clean and the service we received was quite nice. I highly recommend it.

This place was great for working remote. Had a lovely view, hot water and ample space. The only issue was the hot tub wasn’t hot but I think they were going to repair it. Other than that perfect stay and would return!

The apartment is in a great location, in a walkable neighborhood (cinco de diciembre), close to a nice local beach, well stocked grocery store and tasty restaurants. The street is down on the flatter section for those with mobility limits. Unpretentious and less expensive than more touristy areas but not too far to walk to the action of that's your thing. The caretaker and airbnb managers were super helpful in getting a few issues that arose sorted quickly. The deck and small pool are beautiful. Just a note that when we were there there was no water dispenser which meant lots of smaller jugs from the supermarket.

If you have the opportunity to stay here, DON'T miss it, it's like 5 blocks from the pier, it's very private, the jacuzzi is 10 out of 10, the host is always attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes of course.

César and Gustavo were amazing hosts! They greeted us at the door, let our staff in before we arrived which was very important for us, and when we arrived they took our luggage upstairs which was so kind of Cesar! They were very communicative, whatever question we had it was answered within minutes. The house was great! The views are amazing and the huge tree in the back gave us shade alllll day long and made it so comfortable for us to have breakfast lunch and dinner outside to enjoy the views Thank you for letting us stay at your amazing home!

Michael was an amazing host, providing us with many recommendations and suggestions around the area. The included pickup from the airport was a lifesaver, and there were also several amenities that were provided that are not even on the listing. Michael provided us with drinking water and ice, which saved us many grocery trips as we were a big group. The home itself was immaculate, exactly as described in the listing. Everything was very clean and felt comfortable, with all necessities provided (towels, toilet paper, cooking utensils, cutlery, etc). I would certainly recommend Casa Mateo to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. The view is absolutely breathtaking from either floor of the house. Thank you Michael!!
