Arran View. Beautiful flat with Sea Views.

This beautiful two bedroom flat has some of the best views, looking over to Arran, Cumbrae, Wee Cumbrae and over to Bute and Argyll. The property has one en-suite shower room and a very large spacious bathroom with overhead shower. The kitchen, living room is open planned which just opens up the space and lets you enjoy the amazing views. This is a perfect getaway flat with 5 mins into town and the ferry over to Millport. With only 100 yards to the beach it really is in the perfect location.

Our cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends who want a peaceful base to explore glorious Argyll. This is a truly magical place, with incredible sea views, and a large garden that leads straight on to the shore. It's also a great base for exploring the isle of Bute, the "secret Argyll Coast", and the Arrochar Alps. After a big day out, you can come back and relax in front of the log burner. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

The location is stunning, amazing views, quiet and idyllic for outdoor adventures. Great for kids and adults. We were very lucky to spot dolphins, walked along the coastline to the lighthouse, short drive to visit the seals and had a very reasonably priced meal with large portions at the hotel about 1.5 miles along the road. The property has bags of traditional charm and is definitely o e of the best locations on the island! Loved our time here!

Quiet rural cottage on the beautiful west of Bute

This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

Had fantastic time in Lisa's flat even with Storm Eowyn keeping us indoors on the Friday. This is the second time I have booked it the first being for my son, daughter & son-in-law for my father's funeral. This time it was for my sister and myself. Can't complement it enough and its a lovely place to stay between Greenock and Gourock. We will use it the next time we visit Scotland.

Check in was seamless, location was perfect as was the flat described. Kari and Gordon were fantastic hosts and welcomed us with a welcome basket which was extremely thoughtful. Very nice location and venue for our stay, secluded from the main house the Shepards hut felt very at home. Nice secure garden meant we could enjoy our break at ease knowing the dog couldn’t wonder off. The Shepards hut itself was adequately sized, warm and cosy through the night and absolutely immaculate. Sonia was very friendly when speaking over message and made herself available if required. However we didn’t get the chance to meet her as everything went so smoothly. I would absolutely recommend The Shepards hut to f&f and hope to return at some point, ideally for a longer stay.
