Beachfront vacation rentals in Bute

Simon was never intrusive, but quick to respond with any query we had. The flat has a beautiful outlook over the lock with a large garden at the back which our cat enjoyed. The flat is warm and peaceful, and only 20 minutes from the car ferry at Hunter's Quay with Benmore Botanic Gardens, Kilmun Arboretum and Puck's Glen even closer for long walks. There are cafes and restaurants a short distance from the flat - we particularly enjoyed the Blairmore Cafe and shop - great for late breakfasts and late lunches. Will be back

Fircliff was a fabulous place for our family get together. The house is very well equipped and worked brilliantly for our group of 11. There’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space if needed and two nice rooms to meet up for meals and socialising. Katrina’s apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and stylish, with breathtaking views over Loch Lomond. The location is perfect, within easy reach of the city centre and the highlands. Katrina is a super attentive and responsive host who made sure our stay was as easy and comfortable as possible. The welcome basket is a lovely touch and made our stay feel extra special. A new walk- in shower has been installed since our last visit, which is a dream! The bed linens are high quality and the towels are soft and fluffy. The complementary toiletries in the bathroom are luxurious and another example of Katrina going the extra mile as a host to ensure that her guests have everything they need. We highly recommend Lomond View and look forward to returning again soon.

Second time staying at Eleanor’s cottage in Lochgoilhead and I hope it won’t be the last. A wonderful, peaceful few days where we were with relaxing by the wood burner or out exploring the stunning surroundings

I had a great stay at Norrie’s place, the house is in a beautiful location and was lovely and warm when I arrived.

Wow! What an incredible find. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The peace and tranquility whilst looking through the window out onto the loch and to the mountains is unreal. You’ll leave in love with the property and the location. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful and private cottage with amazing views. We enjoyed watching the seals and walking by the loch. The cottage was stunning and well equipped.

We stayed at Chris’ place over new year and it was perfect. A stunning setting with some lovely walks and right by the water. We saw red squirrels, an otter, a heron and lots of other birds. It was a short stay but there was a lot more to see and do than we managed.

What a great place to stay; the view is stunning, so relaxing. I requested to stay longer but someone else beat me to it unfortunately; I should imagine this property is very popular. Richard was a fantastic host and couldn't do more to be helpful. Many thanks.

I've just returned from a week on the Isle of Bute, where I stayed at Ettrick Cottage. The accommodation is fantastic and really high quality with great views across Ettrick Bay. The hosts were very helpful with their communication prior to arrival and were very discrete. It was a wonderful stay in well appointed accommodation.

What an amazing stay we had! Jill is a fantastic host who helped us make this weekend unforgettable! The apartment was beautiful, with incredible views on the loch. Very quiet and peaceful. It has everything you need. My children also loved it and were happy that they had toys and books available in their room. Jill was very friendly and even booked a table at the local pub for us. She also help me organise a surprise birthday! This airbnb is a little gem and we will definitely be back, maybe when the weather is warmer. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful quiet setting and base to explore the area. We loved exploring by kayak and being greeted by seals every morning. Simon’s place was super comfortable, clean and well equipped. We’d love to return.

Dear Laura and Lee We had a wonderful stay at Cuilabhaila House.The position and views are perfection and also the house itself.There is nothing we have needed it is all provided Thankyou.The house is beautiful and full of interesting things to look at. The house is perfect for a large family group like ours, plenty of space to do our own thing but also a large table to gather around at mealtimes. Time on Arran has gone all too quickly as we knew it would.We have managed to do lots to suit everyone.The younger ones did horse riding on the beach.The energetic ones walked up Goat Fell and have been cold water swimming each morning.Some of us explored the history of Brodick Castle and we walked the autumn forest above Lamlash.We drove into the north of the island and made notes of more we would like to explore on Arran in the future. The cottage was PERFECT in every way! Clean, beautiful, comfortable and it had everything that we needed and more! The garden looked lovely and the views were spectacular! It’s a shame our visit was so short!! Thank you Jason and Mairi…we will be back!! 🤩

Jess’s cottage firstly is in a stunning location. Situated right on the beach with direct access from the cottage via the very spacious garden. In spring the location must be a haven for birdwatchers, thankfully in winter the French door provided a good viewpoint for us. The cottage is ideal for a party of up to 6, although we were only two. The house has a beautiful flow throughout and would provide great communal space but also enough room for quiet space. All amenities were excellent and the coffee machine was very good. The best secret is the sound system. Quality Bose speakers and a fantastic cd and cassette player. As our stay was over New Year, special mention goes to the heating system, making everywhere comfortably cosy. We would have no hesitation in recommending Jess’s cottage for exploring the Isle of Bute. It provides superb self catering accommodation and again the location is excellent.

We had a really fantastic family trip to Joshua’s place. He is a fantastic host. The house is perfect for a large group get together with lots of indoor and outdoor space.

Alan is a fantastic host - he popped by in person but was also responsive by text when I had a query or two. The house is perfect for a group and the large kitchen and living room was great for spending time together. The house was well equipped with various things you might need - glasses for fizz, speakers, HDMI cables etc. The view is also lovely. Would recommend!
