We had a lovely stay. The cottage is great and plenty of room for everyone. The tablet in the kitchen is great for instructions-we would never have figured out the extractor fan without it! 😆

beautiful cottage in a peaceful location, great being on a working farm, natural alarm clock (Cockerel) and lots of fluffy neighbours (chickens) to welcome us. cottage was superb, just what we wanted for a chilled night away with friends, hot tub was a great addition.

I booked this for my wife's 40th. the host was outstanding with there responses and efforts to make my wife's birthday special. they organised balloons/banners and flowers for when we arrived, and seafood from the local fishmonger for our evening meal. The cottage was extremely well equipped, the best I have seen yet and the cleanliness was to a very high slandered. I would highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

We had a great time at the cottage. The cottage was neat, tidy and is very well kitted out with everything needed to make guests confortable. There is also a detailed instruction manual provided with information on how to operate most of the amenities in the cottage (dishwasher, hot tub, heating etc…) Gemma is a great host and provided us with a detailed guide with lots of recommendations on where to eat and things to do in the area. Before and during our stay, Gemma responded quickly to messages, which was appreciated. We requested a later check out and Gemma agreed to this as there were no guests booked in right after us. Overall a great stay.

We had a wonderful time, there is so much to do and the cottage is lovely. We all remarked how big the place is because the pictures just did not do it justice. We'll definitely be coming back!!

This really is a gem of an AirBnb, if you’re looking for a private escape in idyllic surroundings then this is for you. The property is spotless and very well equipped and the private hot tub is an absolute bonus, the area is very peaceful and has easy access to some very quaint villages and only 25 mins from York. The hosts were extremely nice and very helpful. We will certainly be coming back!

Fantastic stay at a fantastic place! The photos did not do the place justice and it seemed much bigger in person than on images. The cottage was spotless and tucked away in a lovely part of the world and only a 25 min drive into York city centre if you wanted to get into the city. Would recommend this place for anybody I meet and will definitely be staying again in the future!

What a delightful cottage. Cosy & comfortable, with a very well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lots of information supplied, along with games, books & puzzles, plus lovely toiletries and a welcome tray of essentials and goodies. The parking space is also a bonus. Good location for visiting the moors, coast and nearby towns. Well placed in a quiet side road, but an easy walk to the high street, which has a variety of cafes, restaurants and independent shops. Jenny was very communicative from time of booking to our stay, although we were not fortunate enough to meet her. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely peaceful weekend at Emma’s cottage, which is in a really characterful location. A great location for strolls around the village and beach walks at Robin Hood’s Bag. Emma shared super clear instructions for check in and everything was very easy. Thank you.

We had a really great trip. We didn't travel far for this trip but it was an excellent base for us to to explore and have a balanced break. Easily accessible, close to favourite spots like Bempton Cliffs. Easy to access local amenities whilst being in a quiet location where we could all switch off and relax. Very welcoming host, great property will full facilities and very comfortable. The two little dog parks on site were very handy with our two energetic Cockerpoos.

The house was perfect, Clean, cosy, quiet, comfortable, My husband and i really enjoyed our stay. We will recommend to family and friends. We will definitely be back for a longer stay . Thank you.

Lovely property very comfortable we felt immediately at home

The cottage was by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Everything you needed was in the cottage, and of a very good quality. The cottage was beautiful, from the outside and was modern, clean and fresh inside. The instructions and recommendations from Emma were fantastic. The surroundings were truly magnificent, rolling hills, a lovely stream, and even some horses for a couple of days we were there. We have young children and it was great to have a stair gate, and plastic plates etc available to save us from having to pack so much. We didn’t fancy the drive to York on our first day, so we took a short drive to Malton and got on the train to York, which was so easy! We had a day out in Whitby and a visit to castle Howard, as well as a beautiful little walk by the stream at the house. It really was a magical few days for us, and would recommend to anyone.

The location is very peaceful and the Stables is part of a very impressive complex of farm buildings. The cottage facilities are very good particularly the shower. The kitchen however could benefit from an extractor fan. The local pub the New Inn is a real find and is the brewery tap to the village brewery. However you will need to be fit to walk it as it lies up a long steep hill. Overall a very good venue.

Me and 4 other girls had a lovely weekend at this cottage. We were there for a relaxed weekend and that is exactly what we did. Lovely and warm, modern decor, shower was nice and warm. Nice little treats were left for us. Tesco nearby in Filey to buy food, as well as plenty places to go for food in Filey. Recommend China China for Chinese takeaway. Victoria was also very good with communication and a friendly service.

Trev and Anne were great hosts and the cottage had everything you could want. Fabulous location, amazing views, really comfortable bed, really cosy (yet also spacious!) living room/dining area and a brilliantly equipped kitchen - recommend highly for a great place to stay.

Perfect place for a cosy few days, lovely garden and kitchen which is perfect for a summer stay as well as winter!, lots of room for 8 people, really accessible for everyone as there is an en suite in every room including a wet room for people with Disabilities, Lucie was perfect as she answered every message including an extra message to tell us where to find things. The photos doesn’t do the place justice at all!! Would love to come again, PERFECT 🤩
