Honestly one of the best unique stays you can find in SA! The view is exquisite. No photos can do it justice. Perfect for a romantic getaway. It’s so peaceful and the cabin has everything you need to kick back and totally relax. The hosts also make it so easy to check-in. Loved every minute and already looking at dates to come back 😊

We absolutely loved our time at the Whitehouse. It was a magical get away from the world and technology for my husband and I. The scenery, sunsets and night sky are stunning and the property is beautifully decorated. A luxury eco-experience! Our hosts were responsive and super helpful - the information provided to enhance your stay is the best I've seen yet. The fire heated hot tub experience under a clear starry sky was divine. Everything has been well thought out and we loved the story and focus on sustainability and going back to nature. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Excellent incredibly remote location

Great unit. We stayed over for one night as this was the only time they had for us, but we would recommend that you stay at least two nights. The property is great, with a fun environment surrounding the home. We visited in the Cape Town summer, however it did get rather cold on the night that we stayed. We started the fire in the unit as well as the hot tub, this was amazing. I did wake up again at 3am to make a new fire as we were quite cold, but it didnt really bother me.

What an amazing weekend it was. We went for Valentine's/my Wife's birthday weekend and brought our big fur baby with us and we couldn't have asked for a better getway. Dieter even left us a jar of Honey as a Valentine's Day gift! The space is free flowing and large, very neat and clean, fenced off for your dog, very private, big court yard, easy and quick access to natural rock pools and and a cement dam, an easy to use hot tub, and just a very relaxing space. I would give this place way more than 5 stars and Dieter's assistance more than 100 stars! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

Good stay, cottage had all the essentials for self catering stays. Marc also provided a clothes airier which was not in the cottage.

Amazing little retreat, we were unaware of the nature reserve on the farm and were told it’s a must do upon arriving. We went in; 4x4’ed, swam in the dam, and saw a lot of wild life - Zebra, Antelope, giraffe and springbok. Best of all the dog loved it

We stayed two nights and took the time to relax and come down. The cabin is the perfect place for it. Directly located in the wine yards you see the whole valley from above. Once you get a hang of the fire the pool gets super comfy warm. Everything is very modern and you do not miss a thing. The road there is a little tricky but reachable with all cars. We definitely recommend the place to everyone.

We had an awesome time at Otters Rest. Everything was just as advertised. The location was perfect. Our hosts - Else and Jaco - was so friendly and helpful with everything. They become friends instead of hosts. We will definately go back again.

We had a lovely stay! The cottage is newly renovated and we wished we could have stayed longer. We took a great walk on the premises and even glimpsed the giraffes and zebras on the neighboring property. Lea took some time to explain how she and her husband bought the farm and what her plans are to renovate it even further. Just make sure not to get the smallest rental car - the drive there is definitely easier if there is a bit of space between the ground and the car ;)

A great place to stay and a great location. Lovely walks along the cliff top, accessible to restaurants and town. The accommodation was spotless and had all we needed for our two night stay. We hope to return!

We loved every minute of our stay, the only problem was it was only 3 nights.. way too short. The extra special touches went a long way, hand made local treats, lovely amenities, latest kitchen appliances, comfy bed, small bbq… it was perfect. Mike is an amazing host, very knowledgeable about the area and always available. We cannot wait to return, was sad to leave.

Beautiful views of the Breede river valley. Peaceful. Nice hikes in the mountains. The cabin was spacious and very charming. We lived on the deck. We enjoyed it very much.

Great stay , amazing place in nature. Loved the fact that we could be “noisy” and ourselves. We even had the pleasure of seeing a bokkie/kid eating berries infront of the house! Would be even more amazing if they add a hot tub. All in all it was so worth the drive from CPT

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The view is amazing and there's lots to do in the area. My kids absolutely loved it.
