John’s property was at the top of the hill overlooking the surrounding mountains, so the scenery was gorgeous. I arrived, while it snowed for about a week so it was beautiful to see that scenery during the snowy weather. John was nice enough to salt the driveway, walkway and porch. The inside of the home had an old school feel, with the wood cabin interior design, and the modernized kitchen appliances. The rooms upstairs have their own ac/heater which was great to be able to sleep in a condition that suited your needs. The game-room made for an eventful way to enjoy your evenings playing darts or pool. The garage was big enough to fit my lifted truck and another car with ample parking spaces in the driveway for other vehicles. I recommended anyone working in the area or looking for a relaxing getaway to choose Johns’s property!

Spent a couple of nights during family gathering. Was extremely clean and perfect for our group. Sherri was accommodating and responded within minutes. Nice place, We would love to stay again.

Myself and 8 other family members rented the Holly House and would happily recommend the property to anyone looking to stay in the area. We came to town to attend my daddy’s funeral, and the property being 30 minutes to the funeral home was a huge plus. Another plus was; the 9 of us fitting comfortably along with 3 large dogs. Property made us feel very “at home”. I personally loved the old vintage stove and oven! Plenty of towels which is a big deal for me. Comfortable beds. We will happily stay here again when we come back to KY.

Great location! Just a short little drive to the trail head for Rockhouse. House was clean and comfortable! Debbie was super nice and responsive. Brad was awesome as well! We would definitely stay again!

Amy is always such a great host and even went out of her way to contact me about the weather to make sure we would be comfortable.

5-Star Review Our recent stay at Papa Bear cabin was absolutely perfect! The cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and incredibly cozy. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The highlight for us was the pavilion with the fireplace, which kept us warm and made for some wonderful evenings. There was plenty of parking for our trucks and trailers, which was a big plus. Randy was a fantastic host—very helpful and attentive, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back and stay again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We were here for our company retreat riding on the Hatfield McCoy trails and the house was comfortable for all 16 of us! There was plenty of parking for 3 trucks with trailers, the half dozen other vehicles in our entourage, and our 10 machines once unloaded. The main trailhead for Buffalo Mountain was less than a mile away! You can also easily access Devil Anse, Rock House, and Outlaw trails. We come to this area every year to ride and the Millstone Creek Cabin is our favorite yet. What a trail house needs is comfortable places to sleep and good common areas for large groups to do what they came to do, hang out, and catch up with each other. This place shines on both counts. The true gem here is Karrie. Not only was she an awesome host, but a super cool human to get to know during our stay. Check-in was easy, and she communicated everything pertinent to us before our arrival. We loved the fresh eggs we found in the fridge. Cant wait to come back!
