Absolutely lovely house, done to a great spec and in a perfect location for being able to walk and explore York.

Had a lovely weekend with family. House was welcoming and immaculate. Andrew and Phillippa could not have done more.

We had a lovely stay at Ruth's cottage, we felt really welcome and at home. Ruth had lots of information about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc and was really responsive to messages. We stayed over Christmas and Ruth had decorated the cottage with Christmas decorations which was a really lovely added touch. We had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely place to stay just far enough out of the main bit of knaresborough but only a 5 min walk in. Beautifully presented accommodation with so many nice touches and a few extras in the fridge and for breakfast. Clive and Julie were nice and friendly and helpful. I’d 100% recommend a stop here - you’ll love it. Keep an eye open for deer, kingfishers and otters in the river , none spotted for us but hopefully more luck when we return….

a really beautiful space to celebrate mine and my partner's 60th birthday with friends, location was perfect, and the apartment was stunning, all rooms very well equipped and spacious and the living space was perfect for all 8 of us. we loved it!!

Catherine was a great host and responsive to communication. The flat is cosy and very well equipped with probably the best WIFI I've experienced in an Airbnb property. It is in a quiet safe area that is only 10-15 minutes walk from the Shambles and the heart of York. When we return to York again we would definitely consider returning to this accommodation if it is available.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage—it was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location, just a short walk from the high street with great pubs, restaurants, and a lovely bakery. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the hamper provided. The only small downside was that we weren’t informed until the day of arrival that wood and kindling wouldn’t be provided. Since the cottage was advertised with a log burner, we had assumed these would be included. However, this didn’t take away from an otherwise wonderful stay, and we’d happily return!
