Cabin vacation rentals in Boone

Theresa the co-host went out of her way to maintain communication with me. At any point I wanted to give her updates or ask any questions she was only a phone call away. I felt super welcomed and safe. She stocked the house with all of your basic food needs. There was a surplus of kitchen supplies to make a home cooked meal. Parking at the well and hiking up to the cabin with my belongings was quite a challenge It's about 65 steps. Once up there I took full advantage of the Hottub. I recommend to any guests to bring their own hammock to enjoy swinging in the front porch and listening to the creek. I recommend wearing hiking shoes to go up to the cabin. I absolutely recommend getting to the cabin way before dark, and if unable bring your own headlamps and flashlights. Be hyper prepared if you've never been into isolated wilderness like that. Enjoyed our stay. Watuga River out back in a quiet neighborhood. And, the short walk to Grandfather Vineyard made it even better.

Serenity Falls is beautiful inside and out! Very relaxing and peaceful. The comfy bed, hot tub, waterfall, and flowing water beside the house made for a very enjoyable and restful trip. Some places do not have comfortable beds or clean hot tubs, this place was great! Also plenty of towels and blankets. Too steep of terrain for us to hike, but was a beautiful location - would love to see when the rhododendrons are blooming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect sized getaway for a couple or a small family. Great location. Wood fireplace, gas fire pit and hot tub rounded off the perfect cabin getaway experience. We will be back.

Easy to find location. Home matched the description. The instructions to the AC/heating units was very helpful, and all the amenities were in great shape. It was also really helpful to have the checkout instructions posted on the wall, which made checkout a breeze. The home was also clean upon check-in. Great, secluded and peaceful location near multiple hiking trails. Was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Just be aware the neighborhood area is not super walkable. No sidewalks or shoulders. But there is so little traffic on the back county roads that safety while walking is not a concern. I walked my dog first thing in the morning, and cars always have us gave room as they passed on the local neighborhood rural roads.

Excellent place to stay if you want a mountain cabin vibe but with a modern twist. feels safe cuz it’s a gated neighborhood and you have a couple neighbors. great views of greenery. saw lots of elk and turkey on the property. perfect for a small family or couple getaway. close to banner elk downtown. there is a graveyard next to the fire pit but wasn’t a big concern.

Great location! It’s a very comfortable place to stay. We love the restaurants, shopping, hiking and views in the area.

We had a great time at Buttermilk Acres. The place is beautiful and a lovely get away into nature. The showers were awesome and bathroom was close to the cabin so going outside wasn’t a bother at all (even at 8 months pregnant!)

Loved the place. The house was super cute and very cozy. It slept all of us comfortably. The roads coming in and the steep drive way, you definitely need 4 wheel drive. But would definitely recommend this house. Thanks!

Had an excellent stay here with our two dogs. The house was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The little touches like having a dog crate and dog bowls available made it even better. We had to use 4-wheel drive to get up the steep driveway after rain and snow came through, but otherwise it wasn’t an issue. The location was far away enough to have peace and privacy, but close enough to easily access shops and restaurants in town. Would love to stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s mountain cabin. It was comfortable, well appointed, set in the beautiful mountains, and had the added benefit of large front and back porches. The staggered back yard was particularly great for hosting an Easter egg hunt for the young grandchildren we were visiting and the kitchen big enough to pull off a family dinner. We hope to stay again; it was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting our kids and reclusive enough for us to enjoy “getting away from it all” in our down time even though it was a working vacation as well (internet speed was sufficient for this purpose).

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is pretty and very well maintained. Fit our group of 8 with no problems. Jeremy was an awesome host, very friendly and gave lots of helpful information. Would highly recommend this Airbnb!

The place is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, utensils, and everything we needed to cook. The location is peaceful and there's ample room in the living space. Can't wait to stay again.

The house is such a gem!! It was perfect for our family of 9 for Thanksgiving. We could have never left the house our entire trip because the main level is so cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. My son loved the little nook area with the bean bag. There is plenty of space to spread out with the 3 different living room areas. If you want a good workout - go for a walk! The house is at a higher elevation in the neighborhood, so you will have to walk down and back up. We hiked to Laurel Falls - that was another workout! Be prepared to drive a little ways to the grocery store. We brought most of our groceries but needed a few things and the next town is 25-30 minutes away. (Of course, there is always Dollar General that is closer!) Not many places to eat out. The first night we went to the Trading Post and the food was good and the people were so friendly, we stopped back in on our way out to say goodbye!

We have rented homes on Watauga 15+ times and this so far has been our favorite. It’s very obvious how well the home and outside is cared for. The patio, furniture, and dock are all so clean. I have found that a lot of places lack that part. It was so nice to be able to paddleboard and kayak without paying extra. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and plan to return for future visits if it’s available!

The house was comfortable, quiet, and in an absolutely beautiful spot on the lake. It was easy to find and offered peace and tranquility for a family vacation. It is in a somewhat remote location (which is what we were looking for!) so be prepared to drive and take daytrips to other activities of you don't plan to stay on the property for your entire stay. Janelle offers plenty of suggestions on local places to visit. Definitely recommend this lake house for a water front, relaxing vacation with your people.

We enjoyed our stay! Cabin is only about :20 from downtown west Jefferson and even closer to the beautiful old barn winery. The surroundings are gorgeous and the pond is very relaxing. Access to the new river is right at the entrance to the community. Wood burning fireplace was perfect for cold evenings! Host is great! Very responsive and even approved an early check in which we greatly appreciated, especially since we had our pups with us!

This home is the most well stocked air BnB I’ve ever rented. From bedding, paper products, cleaning supplies lake floats and a kitchen that’s has absolutely everything you need. It was clean, comfortable beds, a gated stairway in case you want your dogs or kiddos to be contained either up or downstairs There are stairs going from the parking to the house and the backyard is very sloped so you will get a work out carting supplies to the lake. We rented a boat from the nearby Marina and boated to Copper Penny ( excellent food and service) for the day. The lake is perfect for swimming, even in the cove. Not yucky at all. Our pups loved the big fenced yard and got lots of exercise running down to the lake (there’s a gate so they can’t get directly in the water unless you want them to) and back up to the house. All my pre arrival questions were answered by the host immediately. It is an older home but everything was in working order. Very comfortable feeling in the house. Highly recommend
