A very nice place. In a great location, attractive and cosy with a patio outside. Clean and well furnished with everything we needed; a comfortable bed and nice linens. A great grocery store and cafe are very near, and there’s easy access to central Arcata. Christy provides lots of information and is very responsive to communications. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to stay again.

This place tops my list on the houses I have had the privilege to stay in. From the rustic wrap around porches to the beautiful custom kitchen. Everything about this home feels handcrafted. Definitely a labor of love that must have taken years. And I can’t forget to mention the outdoor space. I am far from an astrologer but the night sky up on top of this mountain without all the light pollution was breathtakingly awg inspiring. And with tons of hiking trails to explore there is never a dull moment. Lastly Matt the host I would have to say is what made our stay the best yet. With all his help from navigating us there to being flexible on our check in to even accommodating us another day last minute. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. I would definitely stay here again.

Pauline has created a truly peaceful and unique space that allows everyone to relax and recharge. Pauline has put a lot of care, thought, and effort in creating a peaceful private hideaway. She was extremely helpful with all of my questions and provided me with an amazing massage recommendation for a phenomenal massage therapist. Pauline is also very knowledgeable of the area and local art scene. She clearly has devoted many hours to creating a peaceful, unique, retreat nestled in the redwoods. The hot tub on the deck is a perfect place to unwind after walking back up from enjoying the chickens and turkey. Don't miss out on visiting the coop! Her birds have such personality! Overall this was the perfect place with everything we needed! I highly recommend this property and greatly look forward from renting from Pauline again. (She is a phenomenal human with a warm, welcoming, and loving personality. She cares with her full heart about making your stay comfortable, and special)

I cannot say enough about how much my family enjoyed our stay at Joyce and Patrick's. Joyce was incredibly communicative beforehand and during. It is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood on a hill with views of trees as far as the eye can see. They generously stocked the fridge with milk, eggs and other family friendly foods. Joyce has a garden at her home next door and she brought us some delicious fresh lettuce. They had great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The home is minutes from the Sequoia zoo which is a must if you'e in Eureka with your family. When we left early in the morning to go to the next part of our family roadtrip, my necklace, a family heirloom, dropped between bed and although I looked, I missed it. Joyce reached out to me and graciously certified it and sent it back to me. I will be forever grateful for her and Pat's kindness and hospitality. When we go back to Eureka, this is definitely where we'll stay!

This is a majestic, comfortable, well appointed space! It was as described and no real complaints other than a wish to stay longer. Next time!

the barn was stunning the moment you walked in. with a spacious room, giant bed and an elegant bathroom we loved our stay. redwoods are within driving range and the ocean right there. I'd definitely recommend this place!

This place was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and great location. Everything you would need is there. Fenced in yard for our dog was great. Located close to all kinds of places-shopping, restaurants etc.

We had a lovely stay to visit our daughter at the university. Close to plaza and supermarket. Exactly as described. Very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again.
