Chalet in Arcata
4.73 out of 5 average rating, 235 reviewsRedwood Chalet #2~~River, Ocean, Hottub
Such a beautiful place to stay with just a short drive to town and beaches. My only “complaint” if anything was that there was no paper towels to be found. Did we say anything? No, because it was very minor and we picked some up in town when we visited the farmers market. We would definitely stay again.

This place tops my list on the houses I have had the privilege to stay in. From the rustic wrap around porches to the beautiful custom kitchen. Everything about this home feels handcrafted. Definitely a labor of love that must have taken years. And I can’t forget to mention the outdoor space. I am far from an astrologer but the night sky up on top of this mountain without all the light pollution was breathtakingly awg inspiring. And with tons of hiking trails to explore there is never a dull moment. Lastly Matt the host I would have to say is what made our stay the best yet. With all his help from navigating us there to being flexible on our check in to even accommodating us another day last minute. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. I would definitely stay here again.
Townhouse in McKinleyville
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 100 reviewsOcean's Edge - Tropical Oasis
We loved the location. It was a few minutes from the airport and the view of the Pacific was beautiful. The house was super clean and accommodating. The outdoor lights to the front and back of the house gave it a night time ambiance. Andy was helpful throughout the stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to friends and would come back again!

This was a perfect place and we cannot wait to come back. Everything was comfortable and lots of details and thought went into the guests needs. You can tell everything was very professional and considered all the details. This was our first time doing this and now the standards are set very high. Excellent in every way.

I cannot say enough about how much my family enjoyed our stay at Joyce and Patrick's. Joyce was incredibly communicative beforehand and during. It is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood on a hill with views of trees as far as the eye can see. They generously stocked the fridge with milk, eggs and other family friendly foods. Joyce has a garden at her home next door and she brought us some delicious fresh lettuce. They had great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The home is minutes from the Sequoia zoo which is a must if you'e in Eureka with your family. When we left early in the morning to go to the next part of our family roadtrip, my necklace, a family heirloom, dropped between bed and although I looked, I missed it. Joyce reached out to me and graciously certified it and sent it back to me. I will be forever grateful for her and Pat's kindness and hospitality. When we go back to Eureka, this is definitely where we'll stay!

We absolutely loved Whale’s Tale! The view was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset every night and felt right at home in the spacious living room. Richard was great and the house was stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was perfect- had every pot/pan/dish needed. I was able to cook an entire thanksgiving dinner with no problems. Love the neighborhood and location. We will be back for sure!

This was one of the best air bnb experiences we have ever had. Amenities were better than we ever expected. Especially the laundry pods and labeled kitchen. Being pet friendly was just what we needed when we found out our dog had cancer just days before our trip. We will definitely be booking this place again.

Cottage in Westhaven
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 138 reviewsTrinidad Bluff House - panoramic, whitewater view
Staying at the Bluff House was nothing short of extraordinary. This home is a true sanctuary, perched perfectly between the Redwoods and the ocean. The views are breathtaking—there’s nothing between the house and the sea, offering an unmatched sense of tranquility and connection to nature. The house itself is impeccably designed, blending comfort, elegance, and harmony with its surroundings. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making it not just a place to stay, but a place to unwind, recharge, and feel inspired. The kitchen had everything needed to maintain celiac dietary requirements. The host, Beverly, was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was seamless. What a gem! Aimee's place is truly exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. The attention to cleanliness is remarkable - it's honestly the most immaculate vacation rental I've ever experienced. The thoughtful layout and personal touches throughout make it feel both welcoming and special. The location is perfect - wonderfully set back from the road offering peace and privacy, while still being just minutes from everything you might need in Eureka. We particularly appreciated how accessible the space is for those with mobility challenges, like my mother, making our stay completely stress-free. The property itself is idyllic, and we loved being greeted by the friendly sheep each morning! Every amenity we could think of was provided, and then some. Aimee is an incredibly proactive and responsive host, and we especially enjoyed having Brenton there as well. For the setting, amenities, and level of comfort provided, this place offers exceptional value. We couldn't have asked

Natalie did a great job giving directions and instructions for the property. The space was large and accommodating for our big group of 10. We played ping pong, grilled burgers, went to the beach, and relaxed. The location was great - in a quiet neighborhood moments from the restaurants and businesses of McKinleyville, 15 mins from the beach (if that), and 20 or so minutes from Eureka which has slightly more to offer. There are redwood hikes within close proximity as well. If you’re looking for a relaxing coastal getaway spot, this is the place!

Peaceful, quiet, safe, clean, good location and attentive home owner. Good water pressure, comfy beds, plenty of towels (good towels) and several pillow options. Washer and dryer worked well. Kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, amenities to make dinners and snacks. Grocery store is only 2 miles away. Stayed with my adult kids for a week to see family. We all loved the place and recommend it highly. We will come again. It’s close to the 101, but we never heard the freeway traffic. Tucked away, and easy to miss the turn the first time. We read the reviews and were ready to look for it.

We stayed 3 nights to attend a CalPoly graduation. Everything was great and in good order. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very spacious. Each morning there were deer in the grass right outside the front door which was a welcoming sight. Plenty of parking and for 3 vehicles. Sarah called me before I arrived just to ensure we had all of the info to make our arrival easier.

A great getaway in Blue Lake. Close to the casino, if that is your thing, or quick hop on the highway to the coastal beaches and outdoor adventure. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out and a great yard. We had dogs, so the place worked out great with the extra space and outdoor area. Love that view from the dining room of the rolling forest hills - can't beat it!

Dawn’s son, Tim, is running it now and he was great! I mentioned I was really excited about the electric fireplace and Tim bought one right away because the old had died. Very peaceful property. Looks exactly like the pics. Had everything we needed there. Hot water on demand, by the way, but we had no issues with it.

This was our second stay with Sean & Sam. The house is a perfect retreat, close to nature but also a quick trip to the market. The hot tub and sauna are also a nice addition for coming out of the Humboldt chill. We hope to stay again soon!
