Monthly Rentals in Birsay

This was the fifth time i've stayed in this little cottage and it's a home away from home for me now. Its in a gorgeous location and always super clean. Thank you :-)

Of 60 or so places we have stayed at Airbnb, this has been the best Airbnb experience we’ve had! Given that this is a special trip (our honeymoon, which we had not mentioned before showing up) we feel very fortunate indeed! Stewart was an absolutely phenomenal host. So thoughtful and kind. But not imposing or ‘ever present’; just enough for a nice chat when we bump into one another out in the garden, and for some wonderful home-baked treats :) Stewart’s advice about getting last-minute tickets to Maeshowe (just a few minutes down the lane) was spot on and was the only reason we were able to visit. The place is really relaxed and quiet, a place to really unwind. It is a perfect base for exploring these wonderful islands, centrally located with all that’s needed just a 10 minute drive or a short bike ride away. We will certainly be back for an anniversary, as this place holds a special place in our hearts.

Great location - right in the heart of Birsay. Amazing views! Nearby amenities include a convenience store and a tea room with amazing food. The Brough of Birsay is a short walk from the house and is a good place to visit during the low tide. The house itself is quite spacious and had all the amenities that we required.

Lovely house, very clean, and well stocked with a useful kitchen extras which made a self-catering holiday much easier and was much appreciated. Super location for us: quiet, and a great base for exploring mainland Orkney for a few days.
