Cathy was a wonderful host and communicated well. The countryside was beautiful, we throughly enjoyed the use of the hot tubs and outdoor areas. I would recommend this place for large groups.

We'd just sold our house of 22 years and needed somewhere to stay for a few days and I was in such muddle I'd not even looked in any detail at where we were staying so arriving at Bethnal and Becs was a lovely surprise. Everything was luxury and quality. Chris and Vicky put a lot of energy and love into making the stay there relaxing. We loved the amazing double shower and the outside bath. Great walk to the Jolly Waggoners pub nearby. We hope to have an excuse to come back.

Absolutely lovely place. My second time here and it is just perfect. Amenities are top tier with clear instructions - we booked the games barn extra and had a lovely night playing games and making pizzas in the pizza oven. The house is extremely homely and cosy, with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub and sauna are great. Love the animals in the garden. Lovely location for gentle walks and pub just over the road or a nice walk into the next village. Well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including some little treats, and even robes, extra towels, toiletries and flip flops etc. Really excellent home & hosts. Thanks very much!

We stayed at the cottage for a hen do and had the most amazing time! The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful, and the garden in spring was especially stunning – such a peaceful and picturesque spot. We particularly loved the lawn area, which was perfect for a few competitive games of croquet in the sunshine! The house was incredibly well equipped, with everything we needed for a big group. We really appreciated how many bathrooms there were – it made getting ready so easy for everyone. The surrounding area was lovely to explore, and we had a great time at the local pub, The Swan Inn – definitely worth a visit for food and drinks. Highly recommend this place for a group getaway – we made such special memories here!

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

Had a fantastic weekend here celebrating for a hen weekend! The place was perfect to accommodate a large group, big enough for communal socialising but also enough private spaces. Cathy was fantastic at communicating and was happy to provide extras where needed. Brilliant location, stunning views and easy to get to Cambridge centre! Would definitely stay here again.

It is a very nice place to stay and visit the area. Several things to do like Shuttleworth or going to London by train. Leaine was friendly. We recommend this place !

I enjoyed being hosted by Ian and Jenny. They gave me such a warm welcome, including very nice, useful, welcome gifts. The cottage was spotless throughout: fantastic! They were friendly and inclusive yet also left me to my own devices so that my privacy was respected. I am fortunate to have met Ian and Jenny as I feel that I now have a place to which I can always return. I did find the doorways quite low and would have liked to have been forewarned in the property description. However, apart from one mishap on the final day – because I was feeling sad to leave ☹ – I was able to navigate the space very well. I would still give at least 15/10 for a fabulous stay. Firstly what a lovely family of hosts, could not be more helpful and keen to please. The property is pristine, set in beautiful grounds, lovely walks from right outside your front door. First thing I did was book the next three weeks, highly recommended.

Thank you Rebecca for our lovely stay. My sister, niece and I brought our elderly parents away for the few days last week. We all had a wonderful stay. Mum and Dad enjoyed the challenge of the wonky floored bedroom and were very grateful for the sensor lights to help light their way to the bathroom. We sat outside in the sunshine enjoying the courtyard garden. Thank you for the added extras. Carters Yard is a great base for enjoying the local area. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay and would like to say how aware we were of all the care and attention to detail that have gone into making it a 'home from home'.

Angie was lovely and very helpful. The cottage was quaint and it easy to get to Tofte Manor.

We had a very comfortable fortnight at Eventide. The location is quiet but handy for local amenities including adjacent farm shop. The host could not be more welcoming.

Needed a small getaway to celebrate my birthday. This place is private but homely, warm, and well appointed. Everything we needed for the weekend was here provided. Really secure parking for the cars, and I was personally greeted on arrival and shown round. Very happy and would definitely stay again

We have stayed in many airbnbs over the years and this one has to be one of the very best. The accommodation was extremely well thought out- the beautiful wooden furniture even had rounded corners and this was especially noticed on the main bed frame; a small example of thoughtful design. The umbrellas provided in a metal pot by the door is another example but there were many others. The quality of the bed linen, the tray of chocolate treats, coffee and tea with decaf options too were appreciated.
