The gateway to the Elz Valley in the Black Forest and the world-famous Glotter Valley is the small “Slow City” Waldkirch. In the suburb of Buchholz, ANNAS SCHEUNE is located in the middle of the old town center. A 2016 organically loft-like renovated farmhouse with several outbuildings from the 17th century. The decor with antiques, design classics and custom-made furniture completes the modern country style of the barn. Der Hierholzer Weiher ist Lebensraum für Libellen, Wasserinsekten, Laichplatz zahlreicher Kröten und Frösche sowie sommerlicher Treffpunkt und Naturbadeplatz für Einheimische und deren Gäste. Der grosse Dachüberstand in Richtung Weiher stellt zusätzlichen Aufenthaltsraum zum ebenerdigen 34m² Studio zur Verfügung. Das Grundstück mit 1.000m² Westhang ist sonnenverwöhnt. In Richtung Süden besteht aus dem Atrium mit Granitfelsen super Alpensicht. Wir versorgen dich mit PV-Strom und Batteriespeicher.

Our apartment is located on the edge of a small idyllic village of 450 inhabitants (near the city of Balingen) with a corner shop, playground and outdoor swimming pool. On the garden level of a detached house, bright and friendly rooms, a covered terrace with garden area and a fantastic view over the whole valley await you. From your sunbathing area, you can relax and enjoy the view and the tranquility.

Eco-Fachwerkhaus Schwarzwald: nature, animals, birds!

Your flat in our half-timbered house is the ideal starting point for excursions to the Black Forest, Kraichgau or to Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Our farmhouse is located north of the "Black Forest Nature Park". Nature invites you to cycle, hike and discover: orchards, forests, meadow valleys and high moors, gorges, streams & lakes! And vineyards. But you can also relax in our garden and enjoy local wine or craft beer. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat, turtles and sheep (not always on premise).

In the middle of the vineyards

In the middle of the vineyards, on the southern slope, with great views of the front Kinzig Valley, our house is in a secluded location. In the basement, at ground level to the garden, there is a cozily furnished apartment, where you can be comfortable in any season and in any weather. The combined kitchen-living room, bedroom and bathroom are accessible on around 45 m² barrier-free. Right outside the front door you will find endless hiking trails through the Black Forest.

Our Heidi House is located in the middle of the Black Forest, in a small valley surrounded by green meadows. Next to the Heidi house is the farm we live on. The Heidi house is detached and has a separate entrance, so your privacy is guaranteed. The farm is located at the end of a road, with no traffic passing through, and is surrounded by meadows, fruit trees and forest. Our own stream and a small pond with a bench on the property invite you to relax.

Our “Talblick Vacation Rental,” renovated in 2022, is located in our old, original Black Forest farmhouse with stunning views of Oberharmersbach and Brandenkopf. Secluded yet close to the center, you can enjoy your vacation here. Hikes and bike tours can be started right outside the front door. A Penny food discounter is within walking distance (600 meters). Excursion destinations such as Europa-Park, Vogts farms, Triberg, ... are easily accessible.

In winter, the nearby ski slopes are a popular destination - if you like it cozy, you can enjoy the wood crackling in front of the fire with a glass of local wine.

Sauna, animals and nature in the "Lerchennest"

The "Lerchennest" is located separately on the upper floor of the rustic half-timbered house built in 1890. The small town of Aach is only 5 minutes by car from the spa town of Freudenstadt and offers the ideal base to discover the Black Forest. But there is also a lot to explore around the Lerchennest: the natural garden, a fireplace for grilling, a sauna to relax, feeding goats or hiking together, cuddly cats and all sorts of things.
