Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ayr

This was a great cottage in an ideal location for Kirkcudbright. The cottage was lovely, there was only 2 of us and our dog staying but it could easily sleep 6 or 7 people with its large kitchen diner. We really enjoyed our stay and we also enjoyed the surrounding countryside and it was great to take the dog out for a walk. We did a cooking course at Station House School which we highly recommend. We had a lovely meal at Swally n scran with its fresh fish. There are independent shops in the town and brambles is a great deli. We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and Kirkcudbright. We will be back again.

We had a great time at Elizabeth’s place. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. Fantastic communication from the host - she is so friendly and accommodating. The house is spotless. Easy instructions and a great location. 10/10 - one of the best air bnbs we have stayed at. Would definitely recommend and we would love to come back. Thank you so much for having us.

We had a fantastic stay with all our family at this house! The house itself was absolutely perfect for our large group. Very clean and had all the amenities required! High chair and travel cot provided (have to take your own mattress which wasn’t a problem). The games room was a hit with everybody and the kitchen was the hub of the weekend 🥰 beautiful area and beautiful sea views from the living room. The house is big enough that everybody still has their own space but can also come together and relax in the one room too 😁 My brother & sister-in-law have already booked again for December for another family holiday! Really good price for what you get compared to some other establishments who are much more expensive (and probably not half as nice)! Thanks for a great stay 😁

Beautiful house in gorgeous countryside. The photos don’t do it justice! We were very fortunate with the weather but spending more time in the house wouldn’t have been a problem! Very light and spacious with nice attention to detail.

We loved our stay here. The cottage itself is beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice- cosy and thoughtfully converted. The location was perfect for us, quiet and surrounded by countryside but only a 5 min drive to the nearest town and nearby to family we were visiting in the local area. We were travelling with our toddler son and dog, so the fireguard and stair gates provided were much appreciated! We felt really relaxed for our whole stay and David was friendly and helpful. We would love to return and stay again.

Warm, clean, comfortable and welcoming home. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, clean linen. in a beautiful, peaceful spot. Thank you for the biscuits and milk. Only wished we could of stayed longer.

A brilliant house in a fantastic location to explore Arran. Our host was fantastic with communication and very flexible due to ferry cancellations. The house is spacious, well presented and very warm. The outdoor space in the back garden is lovely with great views. We will be back again!

We had a wonderful stay in Heather's beautifully stylish home. It felt very cosy and homely with great amenities and it was super easy to get into Edinburgh on the train. Would definitely stay there again!

We have stayed in this lovely cottage several times before which should give you a good idea of how highly we rate it. There have been some improvements since our last stay making it even more comfortable. The cottage has lovely views in beautiful gardens, it is an ideal location to explore the area. It is spotless clean, well equipped, extremely comfortable bed and the living area is perfect for relaxing. It’s just a fabulous flat

The flat is on the top floor of an old red stone building which sits on a wee hill way above the shoreline. The moment you open the door to the flat you feel at home. Everything is nice, clean and tidy. A fully equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom and a table to dine! The bedroom is nice, the nook in the living room invites to watch the ferries go by. A quiet flat to feel home. Mary was quick to answer and help out. My son loved the electric fire very much it gave the flat a homely character. And even a Christmas tree was there. A very nice and cosy flat with all amenities you need. Thanks a lot!

We loved our stay in this very comfy, clean flat. It had everything we needed. Kenny and partner were great hosts and showed us around, gave us instructions on how things worked and also gave us some very excellent recommendations for places to go, places to eat etc which was very much appreciated. The flat is in a good area, a short walk from the centre. The furnishings are excellent, very quirky and made the flat feel warm, cosy and very relaxing. We looked forward to coming back to flat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen is compact but again had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of drawers, hanging spaces and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We loved the hidden bookcase. We were sad to leave our little holiday flat and would highly recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book again when we return to Glasgow.

Booked this AirBnB for my parents to stay at that were coming up to Scotland for the weekend, Margaret was very helpful and made the stay easy and stress free, would highly recommend and definitely book again in the future!

We stayed here whilst visiting family over Christmas. very convenient for us and just next to the Spa shop for supplies. Spacious apartment, and good central heating needed at this time of year.

What a find...right on the beach, balcony as a bonus.. we have had amazing weather, lots of adventures and loved the peace of Whiting Bay. Well appointed with lot's of space and everything we needed.Thank you

A gorgeous stay, beautiful scenery with options for walks and swims and a lovely environment. Equipped with everything you would want and a responsive host. We always have a lovely time when we stay here and will be back again!

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

The old church offered a perfect area for a weekend away. It offered everything you would need and it looked fantastic inside. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay and have a break for a few days. Plenty of things to locally and only a 15 minute drive into Glasgow.

We had a lovely stay at Laura’s place with our extended family. Fabulous views and plenty of space for us all. We played games, walked, went wild swimming and laughed lots 😀

Angus and Anna were great hosts and their place was absolutely amazing. they were very responsive, answered all our questions, provided detailed descriptions and allowed a late checkout. Highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a place that is close to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, this is the place to book!

This private suite is way more spacious than I envisioned, with a spectacular view. It is peaceful, well-decorated, and the host is one of the nicest people I’ve met. He served a delicious homemade breakfast and offered lots of insight about Scotland. Highly recommend!!
