Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ayr

We had the most wonderful weekend at Milton House! The place is beautifully decorated, and Laura is such a thoughtful host. From pastries in the freezer to excellent local recommendations, there wasn’t a single thing we could have wished for. The bed had the comfiest, softest sheets I’ve ever slept in, and I absolutely loved the little map of the estate with the route up to the loch – such a lovely walk! A fantastic stay all around, thank you!

We cannot fault this place. Very luxurious and very clean. We had a brilliant time here for my 40th. Elizabeth (the host) went above and beyond for us by driving almost 3hrs to bring us a cot for our baby girl. We were so grateful. Communication was excellent and any questions we had were answered promptly. The property, surrounding grounds and area are all brilliant! The hot tub was superb! We will definitely be back.

Great home. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub was great. We also made use of the pool table and darts. Great location and handy for shops and places to eat if you don’t want to cook. Nice riverside walk. This is our 2nd visit and we will definately be back. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The cottage itself is beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice- cosy and thoughtfully converted. The location was perfect for us, quiet and surrounded by countryside but only a 5 min drive to the nearest town and nearby to family we were visiting in the local area. We were travelling with our toddler son and dog, so the fireguard and stair gates provided were much appreciated! We felt really relaxed for our whole stay and David was friendly and helpful. We would love to return and stay again.

Our party was very happy with both the cottage and its location. Ian, our host went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. We would very definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in the area.

A brilliant house in a fantastic location to explore Arran. Our host was fantastic with communication and very flexible due to ferry cancellations. The house is spacious, well presented and very warm. The outdoor space in the back garden is lovely with great views. We will be back again!

We were visiting friends in the area and due to circumstances we were unable to stay with them. We found the flat comfortable and well equipped, Frances has given a lot of thought to the flat to make her guests comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with basic necessities supplied such as tea, coffee, cereal, milk eggs etc We would have no hesitation in booking this accommodation again should the need arise Checking in was simple, there is a key safe and Frances lets you have the combination number the day before you arrive Wi-Fi worked well for our needs

Don't really want to tell everyone how nice it was incase she puts the price up, and we will be back as we enjoyed it so much it was really close to the friends that we visited in Inverkip and they came and visited on one occasion and were impressed themselves.

We loved our stay in this very comfy, clean flat. It had everything we needed. Kenny and partner were great hosts and showed us around, gave us instructions on how things worked and also gave us some very excellent recommendations for places to go, places to eat etc which was very much appreciated. The flat is in a good area, a short walk from the centre. The furnishings are excellent, very quirky and made the flat feel warm, cosy and very relaxing. We looked forward to coming back to flat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen is compact but again had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of drawers, hanging spaces and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We loved the hidden bookcase. We were sad to leave our little holiday flat and would highly recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book again when we return to Glasgow.

Home away from home, generous extras for breakfast 🙂 Really comfortable flat with everything we could want or need. Parking is on the street, we got lucky and were able to park right outside and it was so handy being able to walk the couple of minutes to Morrisons. We have family in the area so we will be recommending and be back ourselves!

Margaret's place definitely had the wow factor, there was a lovely welcome tray. Nice to have a driveway. looking forward to our next stay.

What a find...right on the beach, balcony as a bonus.. we have had amazing weather, lots of adventures and loved the peace of Whiting Bay. Well appointed with lot's of space and everything we needed.Thank you

This airbnb was perfect! Not only was Aidan able to arrange an early check in so we could ditch our bags, we also arrived to a beautiful welcome hamper and warm, clean apartment. There were several really special additions we hadn’t expected! Amazing sound system, fantastic equipment (amazing hairdryer/tv/kitchen appliances). The apartment was particularly beautiful and the decor was both relaxing and fun. Comfy bed and sofas, plenty of blankets (not that we were cold, it’s very cosy), beautiful features and overall, we just didn’t want to leave! We would 100% book this apartment again and recommend it to everyone we know!

What a perfect spot in Inverary. The views of the harbour were just gorgeous, the little store below had the best ice cream and The George pub had the best food and service. We loved the hike up to the lookout and the castle tea shop was great value. Delicious home made food. The Co Op was a short walk away and had all that we needed.

A gorgeous stay, beautiful scenery with options for walks and swims and a lovely environment. Equipped with everything you would want and a responsive host. We always have a lovely time when we stay here and will be back again!

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

The old church offered a perfect area for a weekend away. It offered everything you would need and it looked fantastic inside. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay and have a break for a few days. Plenty of things to locally and only a 15 minute drive into Glasgow.

We had a lovely stay at Laura’s place with our extended family. Fabulous views and plenty of space for us all. We played games, walked, went wild swimming and laughed lots 😀

Angus and Anna were great hosts and their place was absolutely amazing. they were very responsive, answered all our questions, provided detailed descriptions and allowed a late checkout. Highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a place that is close to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, this is the place to book!

James and Nicola have a lovely place They were very helpful and left treats for us when we arrived. We all had a great time. I would highly recommend.
