House vacation rentals in Au Sable River

Our family gathered to celebrate a 60th bday and the accommodations were fantastic! The accommodations were perfect for our three generations of six adults and three children. The place was clean and we had everything we needed. Definitely would stay again!

Absolutely fantastic trip, the home was nothing but amazing and full of movie nights! Felt right at home after a day of snowboarding! Thank you so much for having us there!

Great place for the family. Plenty of things to do at the house. Also not too far from Traverse City or Boyne Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!!

My husband and I have been using AirBnB for years but in all our travels, we’ve yet to encounter a host as great as Bill! Upon arrival at the AirBnB we were confronted with a potentially trip ruining issue that was no one’s fault, but simply a result of weather extremes. I was anxious about how serious the host would take the issue and how promptly the issue would be corrected. . Bill jumped to immediate action to make sure our stay was as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible! We had AN AMAZING time! The house itself is something to see, beautifully laid out and stocked with everything you could possibly want! My favorite part was waking up early to drink my coffee in a recliner and look out at the lake. The house was cozy, the beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was a dream for cooking and feeding a large group! Having such an amazing house with SO many amenities and being able to bring our beloved dogs too was the cherry on top! We plan to return ASAP! AAA++++10/10

This was our second time staying at this wonderful Airbnb, and it was just as great as the first! Communication with the host was fantastic—quick responses and clear instructions throughout our stay. The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location exceeded our expectations again; it's super convenient, with stores and great local dining options just minutes away. We couldn't ask for a better spot to relax and enjoy the area. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

Thank you Kristi for allowing us to stay at your home! We had a great time and loved everthing about Gaylord. We spent Christmas here with the family and have to say it really was a white christmas! The home was perfect for the family and had eveything we needed to feel like if we were at home. Once again thank you we will be back soon!

Greg and Katrina’s home was awesome lots todo for people all ages. Everyone enjoyed the amenities and the place was really well taken care of. I’d stay there agin!

We could not have found a better place for our family to stay. we went skiing at Caberfae Peaks, went ice fishing on the lake, enjoyed the hot tub, and enjoyed many local restaurants. The house was beautifully decorated and all of the beds were very comfortable. The wood burning fireplace was an amazing amenity. We would absolutely recommend adding the clubhouse on, it gave our five kids endless amounts of fun. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub while 2 in of snow came down on us, it was truly a magical experience. We are already talking about coming back next year!

I highly recommend staying here. We had 9 kids with ages ranging from 10-20 and they all had a great time, never complained about being bored. The house was big enough to where they could have their fun even when the adult needed to sleep. The house was very accommodating and the outdoor space was absolutely perfect.

We had a great time at Taylor’s place. It was the isolation we were looking for, and the dog friendly aspect was perfect. We were lucky enough to be able to use the hot tub, and sauna on a cold, snowy day, the perfect backdrop. Advice for future visitors: 4-wheel drive was necessary with the amount of snow we got this week and the second smaller room has an opening overlooking the main living room and opening above bedroom door- not private or quiet, neither was an issue for us but might be for others.

Stayed here with a few friends over our college break, it was an awesome time and the perfect space for a group of college students to relax and all be together. Lots of activities within the house (ping pong, pool table, cornhole, darts) which made the trip better. Great fridge space and bathrooms/showers worked well. More than enough sleeping spaces for me and all my friends. Would highly recommended to any large group looking for a fun getaway!

Beautiful lake home. Everything is very nice & comfortable. We enjoyed the getaway very much. Loved looking at the peaceful lake. The updates are very tastefully done. Looks like a lot of time invested into every detail. It’s well stocked-lots of games too. Restaurants, stores, ice cream all within 5 miles. Highly recommend for R&R on a big lake. Thank you!

The Big Drake is in on quiet lane right on the lake shore, the place is large while still feeling homey. The kitchen is well l equipped with modern appliances. The heating and AC are controlled by different Nest thermostats, and we were able to keep it at a good temperature. The three main bedrooms are very comfortable--two share an adjoining bathroom, and for one it is around the corner. The kids rooms with bunk beds were great as well. The rooms above the garage were a bit more rustic, but clean and comfortable. The furniture in the living room is very cozy leather and the other furniture is nice, often custom wood like in a fancy lodge. The check-in and check-out were super easy, with clear instructions and communications. The place is 10 minutes from a large grocery store (Meijer) and 20–30 minutes from Traverse city, which is a neat town to explore with excellent food. Overall, we highly recommend and hope we can come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home! The home was very spacious for our group of 5. We did struggle to find Ubers and Lyfts and taxis seem to book up quickly so we would suggest planning rides in advance. Other than that we couldn’t have asked for a better space and location for our trip! Annemarie is a great host and kept us informed and up to date throughout our entire stay. Would definitely recommend!

The great spacious house, allowed everyone to have their own space and privacy with all the separate rooms! Very cozy and the holiday decorations everywhere made it extra special and homey! Would definitely stay here again. 😊

We had a restful stay! The house is adorable Midcentury Modern with so much charm, thoughtful amenities and a cozy atmosphere that makes the house instantly feel like home. Spotlessly clean, lots of extra attention to the details of a family trip or wine weekend excursion. Great recommendations for food and wine lovers. We really enjoyed our stay. We’d love to come back and stay longer.

My family and I had the most incredible experience. The place was spotless and perfect for our big family with 5 children under 6. Plenty of space. Adorable rooftop. Didn't even have time to enjoy the jacuzzi but they were more than happy to help us out with that. They even had cute little toys/legos our children enjoyed as well. Both kitchens were fully stocked with whatever you could possibly need. Everything was so so so immaculate and clean, which truly matters when you have a bunch of children rolling around and crawling on floors. We also could not love this house more! Loni was super responsive to any questions I had. We had the best long weekend!

Very nice home! My family of 8 stayed for an extended weekend getaway and we were not disappointed. The home was just as shown in the pictures and the outside/location was very private and serene. It is close proximity to downtown TC and many activities. I would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was so nice and clean and very open inside. Had just about everything we needed for our two night stay. I can't say enough good things about the beautiful property. Loved walking the trail in the woods with our dogs. Wish we had more time, but would love to come back and stay in this home again. Perfect getaway!! This home was beautifully decorated and had everything needed. Love the open concept and was perfect for our group. We also loved the location which was close to several wineries. We got a few inches of snow overnight and woke up to a freshly plowed drive way and the porch/sidewalk shoveled! Five star!!
