Staying in Embaba was like discovering Cairo’s best-kept secret. If you're looking to avoid the typical tourist traps and meet some of the coolest local people, this is the spot. The apartment? It might give you section 8 vibes from the outside, but inside, it’s a simple, clean haven. I came prepared with my favorite candles from Bath and Body Works to set the mood, and let me tell you, it smelled like home in no time. The WiFi was surprisingly reliable, which was a lifesaver, and having a washing machine, a working stove, and A/C in one room made it super convenient. If you’re down for a more authentic hood experience in Cairo, I’d totally recommend staying here. It’s got its own charm!
