Farmstay vacation rentals in Arkansas River

We had a great stay with the grandkids. They got to pet the horses and watch goats run around. In the morning there were several calves getting breakfast. The farm house was a fun adventure for them. We relaxed by playing board games. Had a great time!

Fallen Timber Ranch was beautiful to be at even during the winter. You are perfectly between Buena Vista and Salida so if you want to go explore a town or eat out you can, you can enjoy winter activities (skiing…) or you can enjoy their property and Colorado mountains. So if you are looking for a combination of adventures (skiing, hiking, rafting…), small town (local food, breweries…), and relaxation (fire pits, watching wildlife, cooking…) this is the place to stay. Plus the stars at night are phenomenal!

Hope and Eric were wonderful, attentive hosts; allowing us to be as involved in the homestead activities as we wanted to be without being overbearing . They were both friendly and informative, they were also truly wonderful and compassionate with our two boys. The property is pristine, very well kept and most importantly (to me) extremely clean and safe. The surroundings are breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed our getaway. If you are looking to unplug, unwind and relax, you can’t go wrong with Lazy Js cabin.

We loved staying here and getting to meet the horses and very friendly cats! The apartment is cozy and clean and we appreciated the bathrobes and breakfast items and country views. Steph kindly helped us meet her beautiful mustangs and told us about the farm, and the cats were incredibly cuddly. A lovely experience!

12 days at our favorite home away from away! We aboslutely love the hosts. John and Jen are amazing and we look forward to every stay. Yes, we stay several times a year! We consider the Farmhouse our 2nd home.

We loved Susan's cabin! It was rustic but super clean and cozy, loved the location and perfect for the dogs! I will definitely return when in the area and recommend to friends as well!

We only stayed overnight while driving cross country, but the Shouse is a total hidden gem. the unit was spotless and modern, and we woke up in the morning to a baby and mama cow outside our window. I think this would be a great place to stay for an off the path family vacation.

Nice place with lots of room. Kitchen had plenty of cookware, silverware, mugs, and drink ware. Lots of seating and beds.

Absolutely best hosts ever! They went above and beyond with communication. Additionally, the lodging was excellent. Such a great location and amenities. They have a great laid back vibe going on at their farm. We highly recommend!

We had an excellent stay with Sharon. The house was more than we expected. The kitchen was big and fully equipped, with plenty of space for cooking and just hanging out. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spotless and comfortable. And the sunrise and views were beautiful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the house.

This is a wonderful place to stay for your Ozark National Forest adventures or just a relaxing weekend. John was a terrific host (as was Peaches the dog). I didn't have the opportunity to meet Tracy as she was on a humanitarian trip in North Carolina. (I'm sure I'll meet her next time I stay there) The home was very well kept, very clean, and comfortable. It was also very well stocked with necessities and niceties. The home sits on beautiful rolling hills and pastureland. It's easy to access by all paved roads from any direction but within minutes you can be in the back country of the national forest. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home.

Exceptionally clean! Pleasantly surprised how comfortable the RV was. Plenty of space for my husband and I with 3 kids 5 and under. Hosts were incredibly friendly and quick response time with any questions. I hope I get the opportunity to stay again!

The house looks so small in the photo but the inside is amazing and roomy. The lower floor has a huge king room and there’s a bed in the sitting game area also. Very comfy and perfectly located for our event.

We felt at home in the rustic old farmhouse. Being on the farm was beautiful and peaceful. Wevenjoyed going for walks on the farm. I got up early and sat outside with my coffee one morning. Through the e-bird app, I discovered there were 22 different birds chirping and singing. Very cool. We brought out kayaks and were able to take them to Eldorado Lake. I had a great visit with Craig who was friendly and informative about the ranch. My husband and I came home well rested. We hope to return.

We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway outside of the city. Mandi's place was exactly what we needed, and was a short distance from great shopping and restaurants in Edmond and OKC. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a place where you can relax and not be bothered by lots of distractions. There are opportunities to explore the surroundings or just sit and watch nature come to you, build a bonfire while enjoying a drink. This was a great place for dogs--like living in a dog park. The house was comfortable and furnished with everything we needed for a few days. We hope to visit again in a different season.

We loved staying here. It's so quiet out there. Its pretty much our dream house and location. It was very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to going back sometime in the future. Kristy was a great host any time I had a question she answered it right away.
