Ogletree Cabin is a private retreat nestled on 85 acres of stunning hardwood and pines- just a three-minute walk to lovely Toad Lake. The beach is a great jumping-off place to swim out to the raft, fish on Toad Lake (where we are the only house on the lake), sit on the screened-in porch off of the fishing shack, and go kayaking and canoeing. So lovely. So peaceful. So beautiful. It's hard to overstate how wonderful it is to have Torch Lake before you every morning and watch the sunset over the lake every evening. This house is all about the lake, so just walk thru the back entry and kitchen and step into the livingroom. The light off the lake comes in every window and the lake is *right* in front of you. You'd never be able to build a cabin so close to the lake in this day and age. It fills the whole frame. My husband and I stayed at Nan and Ian's the first week in October. The temp was still up in the high 70s and the lake definitely swimmable. We hiked at the nature preserves near Alden -- one walking distance from the cabin, drove 45 mins to Traverse City for a very special dinner, and spent a LOT of time sitting on the deck reading books and listening to the lake. I also want to say that the cabin was absolutely clean, had everything you'd need for any possible occasion, and enough beds for a large family.

This cozy cabin had modern amenities but retained a rustic feel. Bedrooms were spread out which provided privacy. Both bathrooms were accessible from the hallway, not en suite, which worked well for our group of friends. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Although it was located within a neighborhood, it felt like we were deep in the woods. The host company was very responsive. We would definitely book again.

The condo was clean, cozy and in a perfect location to enjoy all that Boyne mountain resort had to offer. It was only a short walk across the parking lot to the Boyneland lift which made it so easy to go back for food, dry gloves or a short rest. We would definitely stay here again!

Terri and her husband Rick were wonderful host, me and my wife needed a peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got. The cabin was extremely clean. The linens smelled very clean. The linens were also very good quality everything in the kitchen you could possibly want to cook with indoors or outdoors. Very amazing experience.

The cabin setting was absolutely beautiful! It is surrounded by woods, quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very cute and clean. Loved the porch and fire pit area. Property host had flowers, fudge and a pumpkin that said Happy Anniversary on the table for us when we arrived. They also provided some snacks and some snacks that we could feed to the neighboring goats. Host were very responsive and suggested places to eat. Will definitely be back!
