Hexham is a beautiful town in the North East and Ian's place is superbly situated just a short stroll down the road and you're at the Abbey and the centre of town opens up with the Theatre, Cinema, shops and eateries in abundance. Short drives away are Beamish, Alan Banks, Hadrian's Wall, Blanchland and the stunning drive from Blanchland to Stanhope, Corbridge and much more. After a day out it's an absolute joy to return to the apartment which was always warm and welcoming. The apartment was well laid out had everything you could need for any length of stay, we were there for 2 weeks, and I do mean everything. Ian was a very responsive owner and very friendly coming out of his way to say "hello" and see if we were ok. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained and the lounge was large and well laid out with excellent decor, it felt like home. One added advantage was a parking permit for the street. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

This place is a great find. Ben is a proactive host and the flat was spotlessly clean. It’s really quiet in the flat and parking is very convenient on the street outside. There are loads of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Getting into the city on the metro is also straightforward. A great place to stay.

I couldn't recommend Will & Dawn's place more. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The instructions on how to find the place were detailed and Will was proactive in communication, ensuring we knew how to get there. We received a warm welcome on arrival. The place was done out to a very high spec. The pool was also a big draw which our four year old boy particularly enjoyed. The location was a great base for exploring Northumberland. We'll definitely be back

Lovely apartment absolutely fit for purpose and as described. Felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. Perfectly situated within walking distance to 2 metro stations.

Our second time staying here and as great as last time. Comfortable flat, walkable into central Newcastle, with some lovely little touches such as a welcome hamper & gorgeous toiletries. Carla has great recommendations for the area & a wonderful base to explore the north east with easy access to the A1. Definitely would book again next time we're visiting Newcastle

We booked our stay with Tom very last minute. He was able to get us in and helped us with all our questions and needs. Place was a little cold but warmed up the next day. Bed was super comfortable and the unit has everything you need for cooking or warming up food. Spacious room and the living room felt like home. He has an amazing fire starter hot tub. He was gracious to drop us off at the Hexham train station and even brought us some birthday goodies to try. Great local beers!!! Tom was flexible on the time checking out which was stress free and super helpful! We will be back and will tell all our friends about this amazing place.

Great location near to the quayside, nice walk along hadrian's way by the river. Handy pub nearby

Lovely flat in a great location. Janet was extremely welcoming and had gone above and beyond to provide lots of little extras to make our stay comfortable. Will definitely book again.

This four bedroomed house was in a brilliant location and very close to the beaches, pubs and town centre. The house was over three floors which helped with spacing out the two families. There was a double bedroom on the lower floor, a double with en-suite on the first floor and then a further two king bedrooms on the second floor. There is only one parking space but we found alternative parking for the second car on the cobbled street outside. The house has plenty of space and well equipped with crockery and utensils. The bedding and towels were all clean. The WiFi wasn’t great especially with no phone signal. All in all though a Lovely home in a great location.

Ideal house for families or groups. All bedrooms were lovely and plenty of bathrooms. Good communal spaces too. House is very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Excellent location. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach or 10 minutes into Seahouses. Couldn’t be better! Would definitely stay again.

This was a fun place to stay. There are two grocery stores right around the corner. Just a couple minutes walk. The one down size is our van did not fit in the parking spot. You cannot park a tall car here.

Our stay at Chris’s for work was so homely, the house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is very well thought out, the beds were very comfortable as was the lounge area. We would definitely use Chris’s again the next time we’re up that way

We visited this lovely home as a group of middle aged golfers. It had all the home comforts, plenty of space, with configurable bed combinations for individual or couples. Excellent showers. Good cooking facilities as well as good selection of local restaurants and pubs. It was the perfect base for us to explore four wonderful and picturesque golf courses…Alnmouth Village GC, Alnmouth GC, Goswick GC and Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club. Alison was a great host, with proactive and clear communications. Which made organising the trip very easy. I’d definitely return and recommend to friends and family! Nic

Great find a few minutes drive from metro centre. Place was spacious clean and perfect for our shopping trip. Hosts were fantastic and provided us with everything required before our stay. Would highly recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and again it was lovely, everything we needed, beautiful views from the kitchen and back garden and only a short walk to the cliff path. The house was warm, clean and very welcoming, thank you.

We recently stayed at the Sea Chest Apartments with friends, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the apartment was spacious, modern and well equipped, the location of the apartments is amazing for access to the beautiful beach and village, we will definitely stay again and would highly recommend. Great place to stay right in the centre of Alnmouth, with lots of pubs and places to eat close by. The property is really well equipped and comfortable and is very cosy and warm. The beds are great and there is lots of room - there were five of us in total but there was space for nine. We had our dog as well and she was very comfy too. This is the second time we have stayed in Alnmouth and it doesn't have any downsides; lots to see and do, lovely beach and great walks.

This is the 3rd visit for us (girly weekend to Newcastle) so I think that is all I need to say. Absolutely spot on. Couldn’t fault a thing.

Second time staying here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and visit our son and his partner who live nearby in Amble. Lovely warm apartment with everything we need and a basket of treats too.

A forty min walk to the centre but stops on the way if you want a pub or cafe , lovely location and the flat is spotless , we had five people there and it’s very roomy . An xl uber is 10 pound to the centre . Nice pub for drinks and food underneath the apartment. My sat nav to me to the back of the flat but soon worked out what we had done . Ideal place for exploring Newcastle and a great host , flat is superb We think this will become a yearly booking for us

This flat was perfect for my daughter and me while staying in Newcastle for a week. The flat itself was lovely, clean and in the perfect location. So many great restaurants within a 5 minute walk, right along the Quayside for morning runs and very quiet at night! We would recommend to anyone.

We four family members had a delightful stay in the Sea Glass Suite from the fabulous view of Roker Pier and the beach to the attractive, spacious accommodation and comfortable beds. We'd love to stay again in future.

Karen had thought of absolutely everything that we might need in the apartment!!!! She has done such a great job of making it a real home from home in terms of how it is equipped especially the kitchen and the bathroom, and the place was spotless and inviting. We really enjoyed our stay and Karen was also so friendly and helpful in the run up to our stay and on our arrival even helping me with my luggage! We loved it! Thanks again Heather and Nicki xx
