Monthly Rentals in Afton

This is the third year we’ve come back to the Gatekeeper Cottage and it’s just as wonderful as always, Adrianne and Brick are very friendly hosts! We hope to come back again in the summer even if just for a day to enjoy the house in another season. Thank you again for having us back!

We had a perfect stay in the Glass Hollow Cottage! The location is ideal, we enjoyed hiking and a winery while still getting back and forth to an event in Charlottesville easily. The setting of the cottage was gorgeous, with lots of wildflowers blooming and a view of a horse pasture from the bedroom window. We loved hiking directly from the cottage to the Appalachian Trail, and had great views since the trees were just budding. The cottage was full of thoughtful details, like comfy furnishings, well-stocked bathroom and kitchen, and even local farm eggs in the fridge. We would definitely stay there again, and have already recommended the cottage to friends and family!

This place was such a great experience! This was my first time staying in an RV and I am now in the market to purchase my own! It was clean, spacious, private, comfy and safe! The view at night is breath taking. The stars scattering the sky with the mountain in the back is awesome! It is close to a gas station so getting snacks was so easy and convenient. Will absolutely be staying here again.

My husband & I really enjoyed our stay. We loved that everything was so well organized & labeled, making getting settled in a breeze. All of the furniture in the house was well thought of. The bedding was extra comfy, the sofa was perfect for two & the outside spaces are amazing. We enjoyed some local vineyards & breweries & also enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching a storm come in. It’s the perfect location. We would certainly stay at this house again!
