Resort vacation rentals in Adirondack Mountains

The Palmer House Resort was a great place to stay for my ski weekend in southern VT. We drove about 20 minutes each to Magic Mountain one day and Stratton the next, and while I wouldn't call this a luxury resort, it was a fantastic alternative to staying at a ski resort in terms of value. The staff were very polite and accommodating, the rooms were clean and as advertised, and we enjoyed being within walking distance to bars and restaurants in Manchester. We were also pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast. I'd happily stay here again.

Recently updated property with renovations matching the photos. They also update two Victorian houses in the front of the property that were updated and used as rooms. Price was great and mostly everything matched the photos on the site and google. For the price it was a great stay.

Had a cabin in the woods feel that was a minute walk from town. Super clean with comfortable beds and couches(futons). Good places to eat ADKbrewpub was fun and lovely bakery a few streets over. Fort William Henry guided tour a must see,fun history lesson. Watched the Polar plunge,all brave souls! Staff was just finishing up holiday lights and decorations,winter wonderland. Will be back again,so relaxing and enjoyable.

Very peaceful stay during the off-season. So many amenities, helpful and responsive host, almost everything in town is walkable. Would highly recommend!

We were extremely happy with this place. It was in a great location, right in the heart of everything. It was very very clean and the decoration was perfect. We loved every little thing. And the beds! I can say how comfy the beds were! I slept like a log. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely place. As other reviews have mentioned this is a (beautifully updated) motel so there is a little noise from neighbors and it’s not the most private but that was clearly noted in the description. The space was lovely, decorated in a cabin theme, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. The main streets of Lake George are walkable, and there was a pool and hot tub (we didn’t have time to use). Overall a great deal for a last minute fall foliage trip. Robert was responsive and friendly as well. Thank you!

Clean, spacious, cute room. Loved the convenience of the kitchenette. Walkable to the village. Enjoyed having easy lake access. The room is just off the main road so can hear the traffic in the main living space but had no issue sleeping.

Stay here! My mom and I stopped in Lake George for a night on our way to Montreal and had a fantastic stay at the Sundowner. The place was great, clean, and comfortable. Right on the lake. Extremely responsive host. Easy check in and check out. Plenty of parking. Close to the cute little downtown. Highly recommend!
