Zanesville vacation rentals

Jake and his family were warm & kind. We booked their place last minute due to a lousy experience at a VRBO location nearby, and boy did we get lucky. The home was cozy, comfortable, and so peaceful. The farm tour was an added bonus getting to milk the cow and pet the animals. We will definitely return if our travels take us back to Granville!

Like others have said in other reviews, the neighborhood was just ok, but we never felt unsafe at all. The inside of the house was very nice, up to date and was very roomy. Perfect for what we needed. Very close to shopping and eateries. Would stay again with no problem.

The place was very clean and comfortable. Lots of extra towels, bed linens, and blankets. We could hear the folks in the upper level & the pitter patter of a dog running around, but they were quiet & it was not disturbing. The owner was communicative. We were visiting my daughter for family weekend at Kenyon & will not hesitate to stay again. Thanks so much!

Chao was a great host! Very responsive to any and all questions we had, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The home is very comfortable and not too far away from the Marietta’s main strip. It had plenty of space for my family of four to comfortably sleep and relax while visiting family. I’d definitely stay again!

Overall I had an enjoyable short two night stay at The Ellwood. The driveway was well marked and made it easy to find. You will have to park at the top of a small hill and walk your luggage down a gravel walkway, so in the winter make sure you have appropriate shoes. I was there for hiking at my favorite locals spots of Honeycomb Rocks,.Clear Creek, and Rhododendron preserves. It is peaceful and quiet. You cannot hear the outside or local highway. You are completely surrounded by nature and none of their other properties is visible from yours. My overall rating is 4.5. My second night something went wrong with the heat and it got very cold at night. I had to wake up in the middle of the night and put in the gas fireplace for a couple of hours to warm up the place then close my door to keep the heat in after turning off the fireplace (I was to nervous to sleep with the gas fireplace on even though they have a gas leak/carbon monoxide detector). I would try the other properties.

Even more amazing than last year! We noticed several renovations / improvements around the property. Everything was well-stocked, clearly-labeled, so well-organized! Kitchen/bathrooms/ linens/kitchen PRISTINE. Fall foliage on-point (last year we were a few weeks too late). The gas grill and solo fire pit are amazing! Thank you Devon for another AMAZING stay and break from the pressures day-to-day life!

This was our first trip with my sister and brother-in-law. It was the perfect location to explore the many trails in Hocking Hills. My brother-in-law and I hiked many of them. It was a gorgeous cabin in a beautiful setting. We all loved sitting on the back deck enjoying the fall colors. The front porch swing was a nice addition to enjoy a good book. The home was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked inviting. I definitely would recommend this home and I would easily stay here again. The pictures of the home represented it perfectly. Thank you for sharing your home so we could make wonderful memories.

Mathew’s place matched the description perfectly. He was proactive in initiating communication before check in to ensure it went smooth. House rules were simple and not overly rigid. The place was spacious and clean. It was stocked with basic essentials (coffee, sugar, extra trash bags). Plenty of silverware and cutlery. WiFi was great and surprisingly, given its rural location, we had a strong cell signal. Master bedroom is also quite spacious. We had a 2 and a 4 year old in tow-and there was plenty of space for them to play with toys and not be underfoot. The best way to sum it up-it was a very comfortable place and space.
