The Sherman House- with A/C and instant hot water!

LindsayRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our 4 nights and 3 days at the Williams home! Taking the Grand Canyon Railway was fun for the kids and just a 3 minute drive. We ate a delicious dinner at Grand Canyon Brewing and Distillery with a fun water feature running through the restaurant. The next day we did Bearizona (strongly recommend), the canyon coaster (maybe not worth the $20 for one ride), and the Poozeum (free and interesting). We drove one hour to the Grand Canyon for a day of fun on our last day. This house is very central to many things and we felt our three days were perfectly spent. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked in it two nights and every breakfast. The house has everything you will need and is very clean.

NOT JUST A ROOM! (1 of 2 Rooms)GBR

My 3-year-old grandson and I had a wonderful stay in this cozy cabin! We spent our time exploring the beautiful surroundings and followed Bob’s recommendation to hike around the Kachina Village Wetlands—such a peaceful and scenic spot, perfect for little adventurers. One of our favorite things about the cabin was all the bird feeders on the deck. My grandson affectionately called the bird seed and peanuts “Critter Crunch,” and we had so much fun watching the birds and wildlife come by for a snack. The shared spaces were very clean and felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you, Bob, for creating such a warm, nature-filled retreat. We truly enjoyed our time there!
A single-story home is situated at the end of a gently sloping driveway, surrounded by lush greenery and towering pine trees. The exterior features a light-colored façade with a welcoming porch, complemented by a garage and landscaped stone accents.

Repeat visitor and lover of Nordic village off-grid stays. This one didn’t disappoint. Last year, linens were for a fee so I’m grateful they were included and primary bed was already made. All stays are an adventure, we consider this glamping since it’s fancier than tent camping.

This is my second stay here and I will be a frequent vistor for as long as I live in AZ! Great place to unwind and enjoy the forest. Due to a snow storm, we ended up checking in much later than expected, approx 2100.Because of the cold weather the lockbox was frozen shut and we couldnt get our keys to our cabin. A quick call to Sydney and she had someone at our cabin within 5 minutes and resolved the issue! My only complaint was that they were not offering ski rentals at that time, only snowshoes rentals. If we would have known this, we would have rented skis in town prior to driving up hwy 180. The weather was a BEAUTIFUL blue bird day the entire weekend with fresh snow all around. We will be back!
The common area features warm wood paneling and a spacious layout, emphasizing natural light streaming through large windows. A patterned area rug is placed over the wooden floor, while a wood-burning stove stands as a focal point surrounded by seating options.

We had a blast staying in the yurts! It was super cozy with the wood burning stove and overall a great experience. We unfortunately missed the snow this season but we were still able to hike all the trails. It was absolutely beautiful and peaceful being out there. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Oak Cabin - AZ Nordic Village - Off-Grid Stay

Wonderful rustic cabin. The access to free firewood during winter months was key. host was very kind and accommodating. havong access to lobby restroom was awesome. The cabin had fresh linens and 1 pillow per bed. during cold months bring your extra bedding or sleeping bags, the area was beautiful woth Aspen and ponderosa trees, there are trails for skiing and snow shoeing. there aren't any that you can walk without renting equipmentor paying for a pass, but you can drive up to Kendrick park and play in the snow and just walk about for free. The cabins where nicely maintained. We loved out time.
