Lovely hostel in a great spot less than a minutes walk away from a stunning view of Mount Fuji, breakfast was recommended at a cafe at check in for a great price and was lovely food in the morning. Very clean shared spaces and a lovely place to spend a night near the mountain! Would highly recommend

A nice accommodation, with a lot of equipment in the kitchen like fresh coffee, snacks etc. The check-in was very flexible and smooth. We were able to reserve a free parking space before checking in. Also the receptionist was very friendly and had a lot of good tips for restaurants and activities in the area. All in all a great and good value stay if you don’t want to spend too much!

We stayed one night with a group of 15 friends. The space was spotless, the rooms comfortable, the Onsen relaxing, and the garden perfect for a small campfire. I highly recommend it!

Traveling to remote mountainous locations, well away from the bustle of a city can be daunting for travelers. However, the incredible team at Kakurinbo Buddhist Temple is exceptional in every way. They truly made our trip to Kakurinbo quite incredible. Saeko, Sho, and the many other wonderful team members are special in their ability to help you feel so comfortable and at home in their temple accommodations. We are eager to return for sure.

The hosts were perfect from start to finish. Extremely nice, responsive and accommodating! The listing fully matched the listing. The small touches made the stay even more enjoyable (trips taken care of by the hosts to the accommodation/station, bicycles available, map of the essentials (viewpoints, temples, restaurants, etc.), postcard offered at the end of the stay). We can only recommend this place if you're passing through!

This place is the nicest place I've ever booked, I really like the environment here, there is a creek down the hill, you can climb the mountain, you can see the full view of Mt. Fuji, etc. I will come back when I have time, the host is very hospitable and hospitable

Amazing location for a ryoken stay with views of Mt. Fuji. We loved the onsen and traditional breakfast. Hosts were so friendly and drove us to a restaurant in the evening and to Hakone Ropeway in the morning. The only note is the the place is not where airbnb says it is. We expected it to be by Hakone Yumoto so had to re-plan the route when we realised!

Beautiful Japanese-style room and breathtaking view. Very nice hotel common room as well as the part for breakfast (very good too!). We were great and matched the photos well. Small detail not mentioned: there is indeed no shower in the rooms (what is said), but the showers are however collective (in the onsen) and not individual even if shared. So it can be a little surprising especially when you're modest. Our host was remarkable and made sure we didn't miss anything. Shuttle to get back and forth from Togendai, for the restaurant or konbini in the evening ... We had a great stay!

Very great service and location, the meal provided was delicious and the location is close to a lot of cool spots, would recommend.

The owner was very friendly and flexible.Although the bath was not large, there was a very quaintly made natural hot spring, and it was very relaxing. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Absolutely amazing place, gorgeous view of the lake and Foggy mountain. The breakfast is delicious . The host is kind and very very serviceable and pleasant. Recommended restaurants around and both were excellent. Every message we sent was answered in a couple of minutes . A pleasant Japanese experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much .

One of my favorite places I stayed during my time in Japan. Waking up to see Mt Fuji was beyond amazing. The host was super responsive when we had some difficulty navigating the area. I would definitely love to stay here again!
