Great choice, the room type we are staying in is a tatami room, the room is warm and clean, the space is also very spacious, the bathroom is just across the street is very convenient to use, the whole is a very good stay

I definetely recommend this place for everyone who plans to visit Fuji! It takes 17 minutes from kawaguchiko station by walk. K's house super clean, the receptionist are very friendly and helpful. The lounge is also cozy and very clean! You can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji while sitting in the lounge too🫶🏻

So glad I chose to stay in this cute bohemian hostel. The room was way bigger than I anticipated and had an amazing heater to keep me comfortable all night. It’s the perfect place to stay if you plan to take a pre-sunrise hike up to Chureito Pagoda shrine.

Absolutely magical stay at Saruya hostel. We stayed for 1 night, would have loved to stay longer. They use top quality items like linens and toiletries. The linens are from local weavers. Shimoyoshida has a long history for makers but most especially, textile. I wish I could bring home the tenjen linens but alas luggage allowance restrictions. The quality of the toiletries provided far exceeded the ones we use from the other hotels we stayed during this trip. Shimoyoshida station is a short 10 min walk away. Short walk from Chureito pagoda which made it really convenient for an early morning hike to the viewing deck just right before the tour buses arrive. There's a bus stop right in front of the hostel but we never did get a chance to figure out how the public transportation worked in the area. But it made for a peaceful walk. Lots of small cafes and stores (longtemp, kura house and unmanned thrift store) Fab Cafe for breakfast was great, yummy food and great ambience.

The host is great, the location is very good, right across the street from the clock shop!The room is decorated in a log style, very cozy, it is a homestay that I would like to stay in next time ~

Special characteristic homestays, especially the open-plan dining bar in the middle, are also fully equipped with all the kitchenware and condiments. We especially welcome you to use it. Booked a furnace dinner, grilled fish veggies, and a beer was great! It is close to the train station, and the two-day pass is good! Good luck, Mt. Fuji was seen on the mountain🗻!

I had a pleasant stay at the hostel. Spacious accommodation equipped with everything needed. Amazing views of Mt. Fuji.

A nice accommodation, with a lot of equipment in the kitchen like fresh coffee, snacks etc. The check-in was very flexible and smooth. We were able to reserve a free parking space before checking in. Also the receptionist was very friendly and had a lot of good tips for restaurants and activities in the area. All in all a great and good value stay if you don’t want to spend too much!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and the view of Mt Fuji was our highlight.

The sergeant and the wife of the sergeant were very kind, and they politely told me about recommended places nearby.It was very convenient to use it for private use. I want to use it again when I come to visit with a large group.

Would definitely recommend. One of the only hostels I visited in two weeks which had your own space for luggage making your pod feel more like a small room. It is better in person than the listing may suggest. Hosts are helpful and welcoming. Great value for money.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Clear instructions, provide local recommendations best place for dine in, best place for walk around and taking picture. The staff was very helpful to assist ur keeping our luggage temporarily due to early check out and we had planned to go somewhere else first. The view in front of the hotel was also beatiful where you can saw mt fuji very clear and beatiful.

This accomodation is located at a very convenient spot near Kawaguchiko which makes travelling with public transport very easy. There are plenty of restaurants and sightseeing spots around including the famous Hikawa clock shop which is 5 minutes walk from the hostel. I used a private room this time and it is clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable and provided all the amenities that I needed. The cost of staying at this hostel is much cheaper than other accommodations in the area, especially during peak seasons, making it a no brainer for anyone who's on a tighter budget. The only downside is that you couldn't see mount Fuji directly outside the window but that's just nitpicking really. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall this is one of the best accomodation I've stayed in near mount Fuji and I would definitely use it again in the future when I revisit Yamanashi.

I just booking near Shimoyoshida area and never realised I get one big room with Japanese style room called Ryokan . The price is really affordable for us and really good deal because near to viral photogenic place , Honmachi doori & near to Selva supermarket . We spend 3 days 2 nights here and almost cover all of Fuji 5 lakes except Yamanako lake because we bought red, blue & green line pasd only for 2 days .Thanks for wonderful hospitality , good communication & quick action .definitely will come here again next time & will recommend to other fellow Malaysian friends as well.
