This was a great find in Elkin, NC. The location was convenient to everything downtown and within waling distance. The accommodations were very comfortable, plenty of room and clean. There were plenty of towels for 2 (we did have the 3 bedroom so that may also be why there were more than enough towels). Water temperature and pressure in shower was great. Rooftop sitting area was enjoyable and Elkin had more than expected for activities for when you want to get out and about. The host was very attentive and proactive with communication. Instructions to access building and room were clear and easy to understand. I'm definitely putting Elkin and the Carolina Experience on my list of places to return to. Enjoyed our stay! It was great to be within walking distance to the sledding hill and playground for our kids, they also loved the amenities. Condo was clean and cute, happy there were extra blankets for the kids. Only reccomendation would be for a little larger rug at the front door to help catch water off of wet shoes, and the beds were SUPER firm, which isn't our preferred type, but doesn't take away from our 5 star review. Overall highly reccomend, we had a wonderful weekend stay!

Responds fast to questions. Not far of a walk to the slopes and if it’s been snowing, you can almost even snowboard back to the room.

We loved staying here! It was perfect for our short trip and we also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and taking in the old architecture. Very nice and close to V tech. Comfy beds and. Ice to have a full kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed at Richard's Still Wind Retreat many times, and I look forward to it each time! The actual space is beautiful, with Richard's artistry and creativity evident everywhere. The private deck built just for Still Wind is my favorite place on earth! The tranquility and beauty of nature from that vantage point is breathtaking. Richard is also very responsive to any needs you might have. I would recommend Still Wind to everyone, it's an amazing place to stay!

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

We had a very nice stay at the Sunflower Suite. Patricia and Gene's place is super comfortable, quiet, and spotless. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the morning. We would happily stay here again.

This was perfect for us and our dogs while staying in the area for a wedding. The view is absolutely amazing and the apartment was cozy. Morgan really pays attention to detail and all of the usual things that may be forgotten while packing, she had in the airbnb available. I was pleasantly surprised! One thing to note is that the apartment is located below their family’s home, and it can be loud at times as you can hear every footstep/movement upstairs, however, it didn’t really bother us in particular as we live in a duplex and are used to it. It did not keep us up or interfere with our experience. We really felt at home here and would definitely return. Thank you, Morgan!

This apartment has so much charm! The hosts were very kind. I stayed here for a week as I was performing at and had many meetings at Virginia Tech. Two of my colleagues joined me for the final few days. We all agreed that the beds were the most comfortable beds ever! Also, the water temp and pressure in the shower was great! I felt very safe in this spot for the few days that I stayed there alone. (These are big deal items for me since I travel quite a bit.) I would definitely stay here again.

4th time staying here! Love this place. It is always clean and feels like home away from home thank you!

Cozy place, everything ypu could possibly need to cook with and a washer and dryer as well if needed.

Eduardo is a responsive and helpful host. His basement apartment was the perfect place for our family to enjoy Beech Mountain. Warm, cozy, with all comforts of home provided. Very close to ski resort. Absolutely loved seeing deer right outside. Great place at a great value.

My daughter and I had a great time staying here - great location and easy walk to downtown. It was clean, uncluttered, with plenty of quality bedding, pillows, towels and a comfortable couch and chair to watch the smart TV. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed - keurig, dishwasher, microwave and dishes. There was close access to a washer and dryer which was nice too.

We had the best time and loved our view of the slopes from the porch! The pool and hot tub area was so nice and everyone was so friendly. Our son had a great time. It was a very kid friendly environment. Sherrie was an awesome communicator and very sweet. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely perfect spot for a ski getaway. We had a blast at Beech Mtn and loved being able to snuggle up next to a real fire after a wonderful day of skiing

Beautiful view !! Comfortable bed. Hot tub a big plus ! Jim was very helpful and had great recommendations for local hikes. I could literally see the snow moving in across the mountain. It was the perfect spot !

Edwin’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my fiancé. Super close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The host also recommended great places to rent gear, etc. We loved it and would recommend their place if you’re looking for a place to stay close to the ski resort!!
