Family-friendly vacation rentals in Wine Country

Casa Sophia was exactly as described. My wife and I stayed for about two weeks with our four-year-old. The house accommodates kids very well. The living room with stove was a joy to hang out in over the holidays. It's one of the only AirBnB kitchens I've enjoyed cooking in as it basically has all the equipment needed and plenty of space. Even the knives were sharp. We couldn't take advantage of the outside area as much as we would have liked since it rained almost the entire stay, but it is gorgeous and hanging out in the hot tub on a sunny morning sipping coffee watching mist peel off the redwoods was a highlight for me. Quick drive to Guerneville, 20 minutes to the coast and a half-hour to Santa Rosa. We went on walks all over the neighbourhood as well. The neighbours are friendly and lots of dogs to greet. All three of us were very sad to leave. It was a great home.

Mary's house was very quaint, clean and just what I needed for a peaceful get away...would definitely stay again.

Fun Napa weekend and the location of this home is outstanding. So close f To downtown, shopping, restaurants and many more. It was also relaxing just hanging out in the home. We felt right at home. Definitely would stay again. In the summer I can see enjoying the beautiful outside space when it is warmer out. Wonderful place.

We loved the place. Perfect for a few friends to hang out. The shared living room space allowed for relaxing and comfortable area to chat. The dining table downstairs also worked out great for a shared meal. It truly is a beautiful home, and I definitely would recommend and rent again. Location is quiet and you can't hear the traffic on River Road at all. Since it was winter and a bit chilly, we didn't use the outdoor space. But I hope to rent this beautiful place again in the spring or summer to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you, Griselda, for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Jeanette’s house is nestled in the woods a perfect setting to get away. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with just about everything you can think of. There was a lot of artwork and homey touches. I would definitely recommend it.

My family of 5 adults had a wonderful, peaceful stay. A few of us rarely left - it was so nice. Others enjoyed nearby hikes. We all cooked a lot so the well stocked kitchen was great. The home had every pot, pan, utensil we could possibly want, and Surf Market and Gualala Market had everything we needed (including Duck Fat!). The house was warm and cozy (great fireplace, lots of wood, excellent heat) despite all the amazing windows and skylights that looked out on the dripping redwood forest. The hot tub was used repeatedly. Furniture was comfy for readers and we all had a good time binging on favorite shows in the evening. lots of cozy blankets, towels and comfy beds/bedding. When we come again (and we will!), we might throw a few table top task lights in the car (or perhaps they are readily available had we asked) b/c we could have used brighter light for cooking in the kitchen, and activities at the dining room table. All in all, a winner for us!

We enjoyed our stay at Danielle’s home! It was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub in back was a welcome relief after long days. Wonderful privacy fencing and some beautiful greenery! She also has a jacuzzi tub in the master bath in addition to a shower. There is a second bath with a shower. We appreciated towels and linens were provided. A word of warning! The master bedroom has a glass door with a sheer curtain covering the window that doesn’t provide privacy. We were tired and didn’t realize that until after the “show” haha! Another heads up- we are from the SE and not familiar with traffic in this area. We landed in San Fran and rented a car to drive to the Airbnb. I know the listing says 45 min transit but a friend told us, “That’s in no traffic.” Our commute was 2 hours! Ugh. Traffic is not for the weak of heart. That said it was a central location between Napa and Antioch. We felt definitely worth the price we paid. We would stay again- maybe not fly into SF!

Nancy was a wonderful host and her home was absolutely perfect! Our group of 6 was able to relax and enjoy wine country without worrying about a thing. We had fun in the game room as well as the hot tub, and even had time to watch a movie. The location is perfect, both close to town and also secluded. The house is clean, well appointed, and extremely welcoming. We hope to be back to visit again!!

This is an absolutely beautiful home. I have stayed a few times and have recommend to friends and family also. They too love it. ❤️ I was impressed with all the kitchen serving utensils, blenders, seasonings. It made it easy to host my family dinner. Will stay again soon.

The Cottage was a cozy and scenic place to enjoy a visit to Mendocino. The view of the coast is stunning, and a nice group of guests gathered around the firepit and grill to admire the breathtaking sunset! We also appreciated the sofabed for our child. This was a convenient, clean and straightforward place to stay for a fun getaway.

Great apartment for our short two-night stay in Oakland. Hosts were very responsive and the apartment had all the amenities we needed. We would certainly stay here again next time we're in Oakland.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful, comfortable, all the amenities you would need for a very comfortable stay. The house is just up the street from the main hwy and it was very quiet and peaceful. Close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg locations. We would definitely stay here again!

Alan was a wonderful host very responsive and Airbnb is lovely with vintage decor and even a bottle of wine. Location was excellent, close to restaurants, dog park, and a nice backyard for our dog. It was the perfect place for our family to gather over the holidays. Cozy but spacious with that back cottage providing a separate space for separate couple.

Beautiful home and very quaint town. The home and backyard were gorgeous and there’s a great restaurant or two a few minutes walking away. Very drivable to downtown Sonoma which was super nice.

We had a great stay at the Ukiah Place! The property was exactly as advertised, with breathtaking views and thoughtful accommodations for guests. Everything we needed was provided, making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. If you’re bringing dogs, just be mindful of ticks in the area, as it’s a rural setting. Overall, a fantastic getaway spot!

The most incredible home and location!! So far exceeded our expectations!! The setting was gorgeous and serene and perfectly located - short drive to amazing restaurants and vineyards!! We’re already searching for our next opportunity to visit this amazing property!! Couldn’t recommend it more!!!

Quiet backyard pool house, compact and cozy. Just perfect for staying while I visited family in the area. Host very accommodating and responsive. Didn’t get the chance to use the hot tub, but it was right on the deck next to the house so would be convenient! Was cool when I arrived, but the heater worked great and was quiet and heated up quickly.

This was ideal home for we five friends looking to enjoy wine tasting, great restaurants, shopping, cooking in-house, spacious rooms. Large attractive table for meals; cozy kitchen nook with afternoon sun; living room ideal for relaxing and playing charades. For the reasonable extra fee, we enjoyed the warm pool in cold winter. Beds were comfy-so important. Nice to have the 2 bathrooms. Located just under 2 miles from Sonoma Plaza and close to local wineries. Nearby- outstanding Sonoma Market for fresh everything. Quick communication from host.

We would rent this place again! We chose it as a holiday retreat because it looked like a good place to entertain our friends in the area, with a large open kitchen and comfortable lounging spots, and it delivered in that regard. As is the case with almost any short-term rental, if you're planning to do significant cooking, you'll need to bring your own kitchen tools -- we packed in (or had friends bring over) a food processor, hand held mixer, decent knives and a vegetable peeler. The place had a Vitamix blender and an immersion blender, both of which were a happy surprise. The other happy surprise: A beautiful Christmas tree.

Great find in Sonoma! Well located with easy walks but in a peaceful neighborhood. Plenty of space for our four women on a girls’ trip!
