Family-friendly vacation rentals in Whitemarsh Island

This is an older building, but pretty well taken care of. It was a little frustrating having to have a key fob anytime you went outside, but I can appreciate the security of it. The room is exactly as described and cozy! This is actually two units made into one, so we were able to have our own space and so were my parents! It is a quick walk to the beach and to the shops. We rented bikes and rode all over the island all weekend, it was a blast!

Condo was great. Had issue with A/C but Jennifer was quick to respond and got it working quicker than expected. This placed served our family well.

This apartment was better than I expected. Perfect location, quiet but close to everything. Brendan was very responsive and we would definitely stay with them again.

Cindy's condo was perfect for our fall family getaway to the beach. The boardwalk to the ocean is right outside the door. The condo was clean and inviting. We enjoyed the heated outdoor pool as well as the hot tub, that are included in the overall property. The locker filled with beach gear and wagon were awesome to have access too and made getting to and from the beach so convenient. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay and Cindy was so quick to respond and get it taken care of, which was much appreciated. She also provided many recommendations for food and activities in the area, which was really helpful as well. We had a wonderful long weekend at her place and would highly recommend it for people looking to enjoy the Hilton Head area!

Very clean. Gloria was very responsive and was on it. A fuse blew and she contacted her handyman right away. Perfect walking distance to everything and quite complex.

My family of 5 (3 littles) from charlotte. NC visited HH this labor day weekend and stayed at Teena's place for 4 days. For a big family, there is a lot we need. We cooked most meals and it was helpful to have utensils, pots, pans, basic seasonings. We were right above the pool which meant quick access so we got plenty of pool time which was also open really late to my surprise. Turned out to be the best part of the trip for our kids. The low tide was particularly low when we went so dint enjoy that as much but it was close enough to the harbor, putt putt, lighthouse, dolphin tours, marina, great restaurants and everything we wanted to do. I reccomend bringing a beach wagon and french press if you are coffee snobs like us. we got plenty of sun, great weather the whole time, easy parking, comfortable beds, clean sheets, soft towels and even a late checkout upon request. Light fixtures could use an upgrade. Highly reccomend this place for your stay. Thank you Teena.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great resort with lots for the kids to do. Convenient restaurant on the beach to make meals easier while out too. Teresa was very responsive and a great host.

Maurice and Marilyn were excellent hosts and were very responsive. The unit was spotless and very well maintained. We absolutely recommend this rental and look forward to returning in the future.

I've always wanted to stay at this lovely little place, but it was never available when I was traveling to Savannah. Finally, I managed to book a stay at Jacquelyn's place, and it exceeded all my expectations. Even though the home is small, the two floors offer plenty of room to relax during your visit. The courtyard in the back is a hidden gem, offering a peaceful space for coffee and conversation. The beds (one king and one queen) were super comfy, and I had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well equipped with all the amenities you need, whether you're preparing a full meal or just breakfast. The location is fantastic for first-time visitors to Savannah, as it allows you to explore the downtown area on foot before venturing out to other attractions where you need a car. Jacquelyn was an incredibly responsive host and provided detailed instructions, so there were no issues. I'll definitely keep this place at the top of my list for future stays in Savannah!

The Chelsea is a precious little gem in the Victorian District. Impeccably decorated, it addressed all of our wants and needs. We brought our 2 dogs so the fenced-in courtyard made life with them very convenient. Joyce was also the perfect hostess and provided great suggestions for things to do.

I can't say enough about how homey, beautiful and comfortable this house was. We were there for a family reunion coming from the 4 corners of the US. this place is on a central yet quiet street. We walked all over the historic district from the house during the day and after dark. Very safe. the beds were very comfy. the kitchen is very well-appointed. We managed to prepare a Thanksgiving feast! There were so many thoughtful touches including two tasteful Christmas trees. The living room with large screen TV was great for movies and comedy in the evenings. Thank you, Stephanie. I will recommend this house to friends!

We loved the cottage! We had three different sets of family, friends stay with us over 10 days and they loved it also. We would come back and the others said they would too.

This eclectic house is perfect for a big group. The communal areas were sufficient for hosting everyone, and the bedrooms provided privacy and separation. The best part were the plentiful bathrooms which made getting ready easy for our big group. Everything was clean upon arrival. The laundry and kitchen were well stocked and we had no issues making a variety of meals. The host was responsive, accommodating our check in/out times and helping us reclaim some left behind items. Fitting 2 cars at the house would be snug if you have an SUV. But there wasn't an issue with street parking. The house is walkable, but being in a prime location comes with street noise. That coupled with light coming into the bedrooms made it hard to sleep in, so I recommend that travelers pack ear plugs and eyemasks. One other thing that will simply require patience, is the door lock on the front door. It would take each of us multiple tries to get it open.

The Oyster Cottage is a special place. The yard is huge with the most beautiful live oak, and it's quite fun to be next to The Iron Fish. The house is a visual treat with a long history and so many fun and interesting features. Chase is an exceptional host, and I love that the house is pet friendly and comes with a golf cart.

Spacious, absolutely beautiful, clean and well decorated home right near Forsyth park and good cafes, restaurants and shops, but far enough away from heavy traffic/ touristy areas. Beautiful kitchen fully stocked and gas stove, gorgeous lighting/ finishes. Would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone!

We so enjoyed our time here. We have not a single complaint. From the terrific water pressure and temperature to the views from the balcony and the ease of parking, short walking distance to both of the pools, the hot tub, and the beautiful beach, to the well informed, ultra helpful and professional gate guard to the rapidly responding, well informed, detail oriented, professional, yet personable host. This trip was an absolute delight. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Natasha, for turning a hurricane evacuation into the best family vacation we’ve had in years!

A 15 minute walk to the beach or if you're carrying alot of items, a 5 minute drive to beach parking. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Coligny Plaza has everything you need. Jennifer was very responsive to everything we needed.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Karen’s house. She was very easy to work with and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Very responsive to our questions. We were in town to visit family, so didn’t spend a lot of time at the house, but it was lovely, in a quiet neighborhood and we slept great. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, dishes & pots & pans, which helped as we prepared side dishes to take for our Thanksgiving dinner at my brother’s. I loved that the kitchen was large enough for 5 of us to work together during meal prep. Would highly recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

Loved the location and the place was perfect for what we needed. We had a small complication for check in and receiving the code to get in but once we contacted them they fixed the problem. Our AC unit broke and they sent someone over immediately and it was fixed within the hour. Other than that no other problems! Would definitely rent from this location again.

Quick weekend getaway with easy access to bike rentals, beach, restaurants, and Sea Pines. We had a great time!

The condo was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Very clean and well maintained. The only complaint I have is about the parking. There are 9 units and only 12 parking spaces with 3 being designated as guest spots. There really needs to be more guest spots because most of the units are 3 bedrooms and many of us come from different locations in more than one vehicle. The overflow parking lot is located at the front entrance to seapines which is about 3 miles away and not monitored which makes that not much of an option. Parking spaces could possibly be rented from the bike shop or golf course across the street as one solution. Another option is to remove the unit numbers from the parking lot all together to keep people from fighting over them which occurred on a daily basis this week! But the unit is absolutely beautiful and the pool and grounds are great. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to stay there this week.

The location was perfect as we have family living in this community but needed space for overflow. Quiet peaceful neighborhood, beautiful community on the island. House was clean and clutter free, but slightly run down. Minor maintenance issues need attention. House was well stocked with towels, cleaning supplies and paper products. Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.
