Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Whakatane District

This house is certainly a wee gem in the West End. It is the family home but when you arrive all the cupboards have been cleared of their personal belongings ready to make their house your home. This wasn’t expected but man was it appreciated! Fun games cupboard for the kids - try and beat our high score on Bop It! Tasteful decor and the knives in the kitchen were sharp!!!!!! There is a thoughtful herb garden which came in handy as the local Four Square didn’t have any fresh herbs! You can hear the waves lapping from the house and there is no need to set up at the beach as you can just walk across the road home after your swim. The outdoor shower is perfect to get rid of the sand and salt! There is a coffee cart, Ice Cream cart and the surf school basically outside your doorstep and a pizza trailer parked up for a day whilst we stayed too! Would 100% recommend Dustin’s house. We had an amazing week at this perfect, classic kiwi bach! The location is perfect with direct access to the beach but a little lower than the sand dunes so the front garden is relatively private. It is a ten minute walk to the local Four Square where you can buy pretty much everything, and about a 15 minute walk along the beach to Maraetotara reserve which has a great coffee trailer. It is down a drive so didn't really hear road noise. The house is spacious with 4 big bedrooms upstairs that have amazing views out to White Island, a family bathroom upstairs and a laundry with toilet downstairs. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to cook, bbq or bake, and enough dishes and cutlery for everyone. The Wifi, heating and tv all worked well. We really appreciated the bach atmosphere, the house was spacious, clean and comfortable but also well worn so we could relax without worrying about things. This was our third AirBnB at Ohope and definitely our favourite!

We spended three weeks in New Zealand, but these two days took us to another level. This place, this house, this view, these hosts - wonderful! During the day you are looking at a beatiful bay with the active volcano on the white Island and falling asleep you can look at the stars and hear the waves - WOW. The surrounding chicken and cats bring you down to earth and if want to activate you go to the beach for swimming or walking. Thank you Julie-Ann and John for giving us this outstanding moments.

Liz and the whanau at sharks bay stay were so lovely, We arrived to a beautiful whare, clear easy instructions to get in & wow when you get inside. Absolutely stunning home and you can feel the warmth and love in the home. Liz was awesome, easy to contact and had everything we needed without me packing the kitchen sink, we made sure to utilise the beautiful backyard, spa and kids play area. The pushbikes and games and colouring ins kept everyone busy too. Beautiful area if you just want to relax and beach it with your whanau. This was a whanau trip for us so this whare was honestly perfect for us or your little family or big family. We look forward to our next trip down ! Cant thank Liz and whanau enough 🫶🏽 Great little week away from the North.
