Situated in the grounds of Roundthwaite farm the property has fantastic views down the valley towards Sedbergh and North to Penrith and the Lakes.

The LOVEDAY cottage was an ideal getaway for us and our dog. It’s incredibly homely, and the spa-like bath adds a touch of luxury. The cottage had everything we needed, plus some thoughtful touches. The hosts were incredibly generous, leaving us with brownies, a chocolate Easter egg, milk and Prosecco. We had a peaceful and enjoyable Easter weekend here. National Trust Fell Foot Park is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are several easy hikes right on the doorstep, including Gummer’s Howe and Stavely Fell. The hosts highly recommended the delicious Sunday roast at the Mason Arms (a 10-minute drive). It has a lovely terrace with stunning views to enjoy in the sunshine. The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Our entire stay was flawless. We would highly recommend LOVEDAY cottage and would definitely return.

Tina was a great host. Responsive and very accommodating and friendly. The accommodation was homely and well equipped with everything we could need for a walking holiday with our family and our dog and there was a secured garden that our children and the dog could enjoy (and us a gin and tonic in the sun!)

Easy to find and a welcome sight when you enter and it was very clean and tidy. Had a lovely feeling to the room, all be it small for more then two people. Bedrooms again small but very tidy and inviting. We only did a one night stop, so cant comment on the area but the pub three doors down was very quiet and ok for a couple of drinks. Overall it was great for a nights stop over but lacked any outside space. Thanks for letting us stay.

This cottage was the perfect spot for our trip to the Lakes. My partner and I, and our two young children, had loads of room as well as everything we needed. We walked into the village several times - there is a decent shop, large play area and one of the best cafes I’ve ever been too (More? The Artisan Bakery). It was a great base for lots of excellent walks and day trips. We’d definitely stay again.

Andrew and Lynn are fabulous hosts! They were super fast to communicate with me and gave me everything I could possibly need for our stay at their lovely cottage. Some of the crockery was a bit dirty when we arrived, but judging by the perfect cleanliness of the rest of the house, I suspect this was the previous occupants. The cottage is in a wonderfully quiet area, with very few passing cars and beautiful scenery! There are no parks or shops very local, but we had some gorgeous walks to explore the village and there are loads of places within a short drive. Would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend Andrew and Lynn as hosts!

Great weekend with my best friend and our babies having some fresh air in the Lakes. Stef place had everything we needed to enjoy a great stay. Clean spacious kitchen and living room/family bathroom and en suit/downstairs toilet were helpful. All the cooking equipment/utensils we needed were available as well as cleaning materials and toiletries. We made use of the pool, towels were provided at reception and bar/restaurant, the minted lamb was absolutely stunning. Fantastic views and fantastic price for a weekend away. Clear instructions made arrival with two babies & luggage stressfree. Stef gave good instructions for checkin and gave some good recommendations, we would love to come here again. Only thing I feel that was a negative was the cleaning fee being so high when we had to remove linens &towels/rubbish ourselves and wash up. I understand that these things are part and parcel of Air B&B stays but did feel it was slightly high. Not a negative towards Stef or our stay though!

A wonderful place to stay. Just outside Keswick but a lovely walk into town with the dog! Great location to visit so many beautiful places. Has all the equipment you need, lovely enclosed garden and amazing to have a washing machine. We've already booked to come back next year 😃

Gina was a great host. She handed the property in great condition and even gave us a few extra treats to start the trip off. The kitchen has all the utensils and basic seasoning you need to cook. The fireplace is a great extra to have, it was also stocked with kindling and logs to start it. I would definitely stay here again when I return to the area.
