Fabulous Airbnb and a fabulous host. We stayed for 6 nights over New Year, parked just outside the accommodation but decided not to use the car much as it was very busy with traffic everywhere given the festive season. The Aviary is very cute and even though we had one months worth of luggage with us we found space to store everything (soft bags will fit easier under the bed). Everything works, we dined in on two evenings, stove and oven is great. We loved sitting outside in and morning and evening, reading or drinking wine, very peaceful and private. Carol has two adorable cats who might pop by to say hello, both are friendly on their own terms so they won't bother you if you don't like cats. Very comfortable bed, we slept well, only gripe for us was the 05.30 train and dawn around 6am would wake us up but after a few days we got used to it. Lovely welcome gifts on arrival, milk, wine, tea and coffee provided - essentials! Carol is a wonderful, friendly host, very responsive.

It was truly an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary in the heart of nature. Our time at Leon's place was nothing short of wonderful. Waking up to the fresh smell of the morning due, and making coffee while listening to nothing but the sounds of the birds singing, and trees breezing while simply taking in the breathtaking view was exactly what we needed. If you are stressed, tired, and overworked and need a place to recharge and refresh then this is where you will be able to do just that. Nowhere will you feel so secluded and so connected at the same time with amazing restaurants just 3-5 min away and an amazing view wherever you drive. We have truly enjoyed our stay and will highly recommend it to anyone looking for a breakaway.

Lovingly & beautifully secluded set up glamping site in the heart of Karoo.. with big heart hospitality and serene area with sheep glazing nearby...and a beautiful pool to dip your feet and body in cool water. Watching sunset and admiring sunrise with the chorus of birds singing their heart out... what more can we ask for? It is a place of rest, delight and tranquility. Each tent/caravan has its own braai area and shower/toilet - it is next to each other but the shady trees gave us plenty of privacy. Elzanne and Nellis were so friendly, kind and amazing owners of this beautiful accommodation. She communicated well beforehand, sent us a pin of the location. Everything in this site is lovingly and tastefully made, built and decorated. Breeze at night through the tent was perfect and the solar powered fan, fridge and microwave are also neatly set inside the tent. We ordered braai pack and had breakfast in the farmhouse garden which we highly recommend. We can't wait to come back!
