"Vellies" Getaway

StephanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This home is a beautiful city getaway. We had a weekend of sitting around a campfire and spending lovely sunny days in rock pools that are just down the road! The space is rustic, and there is limited electricity due to the space being entirely solar powered. Things to plan for because of this, is there is only a gas stove and oven for heating meals (no microwave). You can charge phones and there are of course lights! But all of this also adds to the feeling of being in nature and away from busy city life. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely stay!
An aerial view of a rustic A-frame chalet nestled among lush greenery. The structure features a sloped roof and a small balcony, surrounded by trees. Solar panels are visible on the ground, integrating sustainable energy into the natural setting.

The Eco Country House provides great togetherness

AnnelieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely time at Sigrid's place. We did struggle a bit to find it (in the dark), and we were warned about arriving after dark, but still felt that there were some key turns where signage could've been helpful. Apart from that, it is a great place to stay, spacious, neat, clean, and private, in a beautiful natural setting. The fireplace outside is also great. We will go back whenever there is another opportunity.
A bright living room features a cozy seating arrangement with yellow and gray textiles on a sofa and armchair. A modern fireplace stands near a wall of natural stone, while large windows frame the view of the outdoor garden, allowing natural light to fill the space.

The Perfect Place! (Loadshedding Proof!)

DarrenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was our 2nd time we've used Leah&AJ's place, previously stayed in 2023. We stayed this time with family visiting from the UK and Sweden, staying twice across a two week period as part of a 60th birthday celebration and family reunion. Lean and AJ were perfect hosts as always, friendly, accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. Would definately recommend and we'll be staying again in the future. Thanks Leah & AJ

18 Sleeper Self-Catering Lodge - 90 min from JHB

FlourishRating, 5 stars16 months ago
A group of friends and I stayed at Jackal Hill for a couple days and it was fantastic! We had the whole property to ourselves so it felt very private and we did not have to worry about bothering anyone. Stacey's communication was brilliant - she responded to my messages well in time and was always so friendly. Melody and Joseph were on the property and were ever so helpful. We had to call Melody a bunch of times and she always responded and helped where she could. There were definitively flies, but you just have to keep the place clean of food waste which is what attracts them. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with bats occupying one of the chalets which we subsequently couldn't really use, so don't forget to close your windows before dark. Wonderful place, serene, beautiful, calm long walks, and a fantastic host, agent, and owner!
An inviting living area features cozy brown sofas arranged around a dark coffee table. A steel heater stands in the center, adding warmth. Exposed brick walls create a rustic ambiance, while a television is mounted above a media console. Large windows allow natural light to enter.

Sunset on Silver - Luxury oasis Entire home Jhb

CarolineRating, 5 stars24 months ago
What a lovely stay! Thank you so much to Patty that was there to greet us on arrival and was super helpful. We had lots of fun as a family playing games of pool (very badly) and chilling out in the beautiful garden. Watching the lightning storms roll in from the balcony was also pretty special! Thank you again.
