Cottage vacation rentals in West Lancashire District

We had a great stay in this lovely property. We were provided with everything we could ever need for our short stay. Lovely homely decor, a large sunny enclosed garden (which was great for our dog). comfy couches and beds and a lovely welcome pack. This is probably the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed in and we would definitely book again. The wood fired hot tub was also a massive bonus as was the wood burning fire in the lounge. Amy was really responsive to any communications and was a great host.

We have just stayed at The Coach House and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The surroundings are stunning, such a picturesque area and beautiful and quiet. The garden area was amazing for our son to run around in and Steph and Marcus even allowed our son to play on a toy tractor I believe was one of their children’s, which he absolutely loved. The property was great, beautiful and rustic throughout but with beautiful modern touches, the bathroom was especially nice. Sun beaming through the window whilst getting ready in a morning was particularly nice. The hot tub was immaculate and clean and instructions were simple to follow, hosts had all of the wood prepared and ready for use aswell. Overall this has been one of my favourite stays. My family loved it and felt right at home. We went to Snowdon one day and Chester Zoo another, both within a short enough distance and the drive to Snowdon is particularly stunning. 10/10

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn's place. The place is exactly how you imagine it would be by looking at the description and the photos. We will definitely be going back again. Kathryn was very responsive and so helpful with whatever queries we had.

Great little bungalow on a quiet road. Cross over to sand dunes leading to a great stretch of beach. A nice walk into either Prestatyn or Rhyl. Handy local shops for provisions. The place has everything you need for a peaceful stay at the coast. Kirsty was a superb host, offering great suggestions for places to visit

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. We had a wonderful stay at the stables! The space was exactly as described—clean, cozy and with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect, close to everything but still quiet enough to relax. Communication with the host was seamless—they were friendly, responsive, and made sure we felt welcome from start to finish. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Very peaceful and cosy little cottage with a beautiful garden. Perfect for a little break to relax and unwind. Jacky was super responsive and helpful, the little snacks left out for me and my dog were a lovely touch.

Definitely would recommend if looking to stay in the area, Heswall town centre only 5 minute walk away, nice and quiet. Well presented home.

Welch Cottage was the perfect holiday home. The property was spacious, exceptionally clean and located off a pretty, leafy lane. The kitchen was a joy for a large family to prepare meals together. Lytham St Anne's was forty minutes away and had everything a young family needed for fun days at the beach and was remarkably free of litter. The Forest of Bowland was peaceful, beautiful and unspoilt. Thank you, we hope to return.

We stayed at Melsmere Lodge for a long weekend. Knowing the area well, I was so surprised to uncover this gem of a holiday home in an idyllic location. The Lodge was stunning along with its surroundings, clean, peaceful and very private but also close enough to local shops, restaurants etc. Hosts were brilliant, excellent communication, instructions and even left fresh eggs and milk for our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 3 kids didn’t want to leave, they enjoyed it that much. If we are back down the Wirral for another trip, Melsmere Lodge would be our first port of call. Thanks again to Greg and Lucy for making our trip so memorable.

Beautiful cottage, easy access, clear instructions from Christine. We settled in, then we had a greeting from Tony(Christine's husband) he gave us some helpful tips on places of interest to visit in the area. Super cottage, clean and well organised. Also, a nice sweet treat & a bottle of 🍾 on arrival. Nice touch! Dorbein Arms was well worth a visit for an evening meal. Would defo use again to explore more of the area.

Diane is an amazing host and this Airbnb is truly a gem. The location is beautiful, quiet and the views from the cottage our over the fields are amazing. The cottage is luxurious spacious and incredibly well equipped. The kitchen had everything we could want including a proper espresso machine. The local towns are good and have plenty of restaurants and shops, our host also shared several amazing local dog walks with us.

Lovely place to stay, very clean. Hosts were friendly and very responsive. It is out the way due to it being off the road, so it’s nice if you want to relax in private. List of places in the cottage to eat/ drink that are nearby which were handy as we don’t know the area at all, the restaurants were within 10/15 mins driving distance which we didn’t mind driving too

Anvil Cottage was the perfect retreat for my partner's birthday! We were looking for a cosy, relaxing weekend getaway and the cottage exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the coziness and thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. It truly felt like a home away from home and the pictures don’t it justice as others have mentioned. The highlight without a doubt was the private hot tub. After a day of exploring the beautiful surrounding area, it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The location was ideal: close enough to lots of lovely Welsh Villages where you can find some equally lovely pubs, restaurants and shops, yet secluded enough to feel like a proper escape. Lots of gorgeous walks and scenery to explore. We were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and the small touches provided by Helen who was brilliant from start to finish. A truly memorable birthday celebration and we would highly recommend to others.

Chris was a very good host, very quick to respond and house was beautiful can’t wait to go back, close to the A55 so easy to go exploring wales we had the best time thank you.

This is our second time staying at Weavers Cottage. With enough room for what we need ( two adults and one 7 year old). We use it mainly as a base for visiting family nearby and it really does have everything you need. The information you receive about staying/check in is excellent and the cottage itself is well equipped with what you might need. It feels like I’ve really been away and I can’t wait to return again soon.

Had a lovely easter break. The cottage was great. Very relaxed ferl to the place and village. Would definitely recommend snd return.
