Cabin vacation rentals in West Jefferson

This is a lovely home and provided our family an idyllic holiday weekend over Easter. Everything is as pictured. Howard is an extremely gracious host; always quick to respond. We just left this morning and my 12 year old is already asking when we can go bock. :)

Enjoyed our stay. Watuga River out back in a quiet neighborhood. And, the short walk to Grandfather Vineyard made it even better.

Serenity Falls is beautiful inside and out! Very relaxing and peaceful. The comfy bed, hot tub, waterfall, and flowing water beside the house made for a very enjoyable and restful trip. Some places do not have comfortable beds or clean hot tubs, this place was great! Also plenty of towels and blankets. Too steep of terrain for us to hike, but was a beautiful location - would love to see when the rhododendrons are blooming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Will was a great host and very responsive. His home was beautiful, had great amenities and most importantly clean and taken care of! Most will need 4x4 to get up and down the driveway especially it has snowed or is icy.

Nicely maintained, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous space. Nice location, short ride to Blowing Rock and Boone. Easy check in/check out.

Beautiful surroundings, a creek rushing by and plenty of decks to appreciate it! We wanted for nothing with plenty of linens and a full kitchen. Tread carefully on the rocky, uneven walk to the hot tub, especially if it's wet!

This cabin is close to everything you need in Damascus, but we were so surprised with how private and secluded we felt! The cabins are tucked away off the main road, and there is a privacy tree buffer which adds to the woodsy feel. Although we had neighbors in the adjacent cabin, we could not see or hear them - the decks have great privacy screening. The back deck was by far our favorite place! It is incredibly spacious and we loved the 3 different seating options - swing, rocking chairs, or pub chairs & table. We walked down to the creek and had fun wading. It was wonderful to see and hear the creek and the cows from the deck. The screen door allowed us to sleep with the deck door open so we could hear the creek all night. It was heavenly! The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean. The jacuzzi tub was awesome after a day on the Creeper Trail. We were here two nights in September and had a perfect stay!

Good place right on the New River. The valley is very quiet and secluded with only a few single family homes and vacation cabins scattered up and down the side slopes. Very casual and easy check-in. Kitchen and house very well equipped for lots of cooking and activities and entertainment. Hot tub was great. Very easy and ample space to roam for folks with pets. If you have a very low clearance vehicle like a corvette or something, check on bridge first, but 99% of vehicles will be fine even as crazy as it looks especially after Helene(notably, their bridge was one of the only small private bridges left after Helene that we saw). Want to come back in the summer one day for some tubing, perfect spot for it.

Great location! It’s a very comfortable place to stay. We love the restaurants, shopping, hiking and views in the area.

The Refuge is a beautiful and quiet cabin with very comfortable beds and a lovely sunrise view. I can’t speak to sunset views as we weren’t there for any sunsets. We made it up there in an Odyssey with pretty low clearance. Plenty of counter space and hooks in the main bathroom and the whole cabin has a warm “feel.” We stayed over Thanksgiving to visit family, and the cabin was decorated for Christmas which was extra special. Darren was very helpful and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone who likes serenity and quiet.

A nice small cabin that sleeps quite a bit if need be, lots of outdoor activities to do, whilst the area is still recovering from the floods earlier some places aren’t as easily accessible but not much you can do about Mother Nature. Loved the movie selections they have laid out reminded me of my childhood going to blockbuster and picking out a family movie to watch (we watched the LOTR trilogy) easily laid out instructions for everything in the cabin and would definitely stay again come lookin for the opportunity.

This is one of the best places my friend group has stayed. Very comfortable space that offers something for everyone. Tom is a great host and very responsive. The place was really clean. Also great location for all mountain activities.

The house was just as advertised. It is a clean space with nice amenities and comfortable beds. It is right across from the entrance to the ski resort. We came during off season, but it was a perfect spot for our family to explore the area and enjoy the nearby restaurants and views.

Great experience overall- the biggest perk of this stay for us was the location being walkable to the slopes at Sugar!

The Chickencoop is amazing! Super clean, pup friendly and everything was as advertised. Brenda thought of every little detail, including a food and water bowl waiting for the dogs. We will definitely recommend this stay to anyone in the Abingdon or Damascus area.

Excellent place to stay if you want a mountain cabin vibe but with a modern twist. feels safe cuz it’s a gated neighborhood and you have a couple neighbors. great views of greenery. saw lots of elk and turkey on the property. perfect for a small family or couple getaway. close to banner elk downtown. there is a graveyard next to the fire pit but wasn’t a big concern.

We had a great time at Buttermilk Acres. The place is beautiful and a lovely get away into nature. The showers were awesome and bathroom was close to the cabin so going outside wasn’t a bother at all (even at 8 months pregnant!)

Loved the place. The house was super cute and very cozy. It slept all of us comfortably. The roads coming in and the steep drive way, you definitely need 4 wheel drive. But would definitely recommend this house. Thanks!

Had an excellent stay here with our two dogs. The house was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The little touches like having a dog crate and dog bowls available made it even better. We had to use 4-wheel drive to get up the steep driveway after rain and snow came through, but otherwise it wasn’t an issue. The location was far away enough to have peace and privacy, but close enough to easily access shops and restaurants in town. Would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at Kristine & Chris's place near Blowing Rock! It's about 5 miles from the town and about a 10 minute drive to Blue Ridge Parkway so we spent a lot of time sightseeing, hiking, and enjoying the mountains. They had a great yard for our pup and had left some dog toys that we threw around to get some good energy out. Our first night, we had dinner in town, then came back and enjoyed the fire and had some wine. The place is in a very quiet little neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and in a great location close to all of the fun spots that area offers. We will definitely be back!

I can’t give enough stars to our hosts and their beautiful piece of mountain Heaven. They were above and beyond friendly even when we had a serious situation that needed their help. Thank you Ashley! The beautiful views are priceless from the porch and within the well thought out space that gives you constant views as well. Gorgeous wood working throughout, my husband turns wood and we really enjoyed these touches. The Greyson Highlands were a short 15 min drive away and such a magical place to hike Our Dog Winston had the time of his life too A huge thank you to our amazing hosts, 5 + Stars . Book if you can!!
