We had a fabulous stay at Lisa and Martin’s cottage and felt at home straight away. The cottage is built to a beautiful standard, with the 65 inch TV, large living space, well equipped kitchen, and hot tub. Lisa and Martin are great hosts, we were provided with clear directions and instructions to access the property. They were very also generous with the amount of wood they had left us for the log burner. We hope to come back and stay here again 😊

Wagtail cottage was just perfect for us as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 15) the walks we completed were excellent and Neil’s proactive approach really assisted us with local recommendations. If you want peace and quiet with an option of a little liveliness (Hawes) don’t hesitate to book this house! We will no doubt be back and thanks for your hospitality Neil!

Traveled from the US to collect sea glass! This was the perfect location and had everything we needed. Debra was so helpful with every question and request we had. She went above and beyond to assist us with our transportation needs. We had an amazing time and would return without question!

We had a lovely stay this weekend for my birthday. Everything was perfect for us. The house is super clean and I felt as though I was in my own home. Melanie was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. It makes no sense to me to stay a the local hotels, as nice as most of them are they just can’t match the value or money here. We will be back.

The house was absolutely lovely and the hosts even lovelier. As I was travelling with elderly family, I reached out to them to let them know and they went above and beyond to accommodate for their needs and make our stay as comfortable as possible. My family and I had a great few nights staying here. The place is beautiful and my kids absolutely loved sleeping on the mezzanine. The lodge was immaculate and way more spacious than I anticipated. The views were amazing and the kids loved visiting the sheep and horses every morning. There was plenty to do close by too. Lucy provided us with information on places the visit in the area, along with a few restaurants that we went to and they were all great! We will definitely be returning with family in the summer. We had the best time!!
