Farmstay vacation rentals in West Coast of the United States

This was our fourth visit to the farmhouse, and it was just as good as the first. Our kids love greeting the animals and feeding them approved treats. The serenity of the property is unmatched, we look forward to this trip every year. I love the peacefulness and proximity to the state and county parks where I went kayaking most mornings of our visit—lots of protected water and marine life to observe. The host is gracious and always welcomes our kids to share her love and engagement with her farm animals. Our kids talk about the animals all year long :)

Second visit to the cob house- so magical! Learned a hard lesson about the ferries this trip. Forgot to reserve when I booked the stay. I highly recommend reserving your ferry as soon as you decide to stay on Mayne. We managed to get on as stand by, but the stress of not knowing really marred the zen-mode for me. Also, bring a speaker for listening to beautiful music while enjoying the views!

Great location to introduce visiting family members to wine country. The wine and food options within the vicinity of the house were plenty. The home was welcoming and comfortable. Great views of the lake and great outdoor space to chill.

This place is so wonderful! We get to come up to Lopez to visit som friends every year and we’ll definitely be coming back. It’s a very quiet, central location on the island. Faith was very kind and helpful during our stay. Thank you again!

I had a wonderful stay at Donna’s farm. So peaceful and loved having access to the Sauna. Great place to escape!

We really enjoyed the location between Sonoma and Napa. 1 hr drive to the coast/redwoods. The kitchen was helpful for cooking meals. Eileen was super responsive whenever we needed anything.

Liz's place is set in a serene location with gorgeous views. It is beautifully appointed and she left welcome gifts of homemade shortbread biscuits and farm-fresh eggs from the "girls." Liz was very responsive to my messages.

Bernadette's country cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage and its surroundings are peaceful, your mind and soul really decompress from everyday life. Walking and feeding the llama was a fascinating experience for my kids, the cows were super friendly and cute. Bernadette greeted us with a batch of her homemade cookies that were delicious while we had our Nespresso. She left too a bottle of wine from their winery, which we loved!! The taste of their wine was so smooth, the aroma was fantastic. I had a facial at her Skin Spa, my skin look amazing and hydrated after it. My family really enjoyed staying at Bernadette's Cottage, we are hopping to go back soon.

We arrived very late. The house was much larger than it looked in the pictures. It was warm and inviting, and we sure appreciated the lavender lemon cookies she left for us. There were games and reading materials, even frisbees. We went to sleep with the sound of coyotes. In the morning we were able to see how gorgeous the property was. She was so nice to give us a late check out to allow us to walk the property and enjoy the lavender fields. I would definitely recommend Lavender Hill, and come again, much earlier next time to be able to enjoy the property!

My family and a couple of friends (4 adults and 2 young kids) visited Dawn and Paul’s place for our Thanksgiving break. It was a perfect getaway. There isn’t a large road nearby, so our kids were able to enjoy the outdoors without adult supervision and the adults were able to enjoy adult conversation. Everyone loved the goats and the hot tub. There were nearby restaurants and playgrounds that were great for everyone. Downtown Paso Robles is very close by and very cute. Definitely recommend this spot!

Darci was great and easy to communicate with. She provided a get place for us and went beyond for helping with anything we needed.

Vineyard house exceeded our expectations for our birthday celebration. Restaurant on the property was excellent, from the flatbreads to burger and the pasta special, all were tasty & enjoyed (party of 14). Perfect place to stay w some friends, but also invite others who were not staying on the property. The new Pops place is perfect for families with littles to seniors, corn hole, swing set & more. Our grandchildren loved the petting animals area. On our 2 night stay, we were not able to get to some things, the tractor ride, pick from the garden, or take the shuttle to the Maverick saloon in the evening. So much to do for a weekend stay, we couldn’t get to it all. Definitely will book again!

Jean was very flexible with us on the check in and check out times to accommodate our work and travel schedules. We appreciated the responsiveness to our requests to modify those times as well.

Found this place after a host cancelled on me in a different city I'd planned to stay at during a road trip and had to scramble to find another place on the Central Coast. I had not stayed in Arroyo Grande before, but it worked out great. Greg and Lindy's place was very charming and had everything we needed. We arrived kind of late, but they provided clear instructions so figuring out where to park and how to get in was easy. In the morning we got to take in the beautiful surroundings, chat with Lindy who is really nice while she milked the cows, and see some adorable piglets and a very affectionate farm cat.

My family came there for a family gathering. We had so much fun! The place was beautiful and clean. It was peaceful and serene with amazing views. There were goats, alpacas, pigs, a very sweet dog and 2 cats running around. The kids enjoyed seeing the animals. The host was so amazing and accommodating. A very pleasurable time.

It was a wonderful place for me and my family to stay. Located near lots of shops, and restaurants, and close to downtown Boise. Love this place, and would definitely recommend this stay.

Our stay was nothing short of magical. This little farm house was the perfect stay for my husband, one year old and pup. It matched the description and photos, but once there, it really exceeded our expectations. I grew up in the area and it absolutely felt instantly like home. Just far enough off the beaten path to feel like you are somewhere else, but close enough to town that you can easily dip in and have day adventures. Will definitely be back!

We have stayed here three times in the last thirteen months and will keep coming back. It's quiet, private, comfortable and the setting is beautiful. Charlotte and her husband, Val, are welcoming and helpful. It is a convenient location for exploring the surrounding area with plenty to see and do.

We had a great stay at Corey’s ranch. The house had everything we needed for our retreat so it worked out perfectly. I would definitely rebook if we find ourselves back in the area!

We really enjoyed Mark's guest house. It was in an ideal location for us as we were going to be doing some wine tastings in the Umpqua valley. It worked well for us. It is in a rural location but is easy to get to from the freeway and is near to some great wineries. The guest house itself is a small open cottage which is well appointed and was perfect for our over night stay.

It sounds cliche, but it felt like home away from home: the rooms were immaculate; the kitchen included all the utensils, cookware, and supplies that Christmas cooking required; each room had a TV; the fireplace included some firewood; and the deck was peaceful and inviting. This was the best home we have ever stayed in, to date.

We stayed in Dida’s farmhouse for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation. Dida welcomed us on the first night and gave as some information about the house itself and also about the area, which was super helpful (restaurant/shopping recommendations). The house itself is simply gorgeous. It had everything we needed - a fully equipped kitchen, nice living room area, two bedrooms with very comfy beds and two adjoining restrooms. Also, the place was spotless! I have never seen a place this clean and tidy. We used this location to travel to Yosemite, which was perfect. The place also offers a lot of calmness due to the nice garden surrounding it, we saw loads of birds, squirrels, rabbits and even hummingbirds! We also had a nice chat with Dida on our day of departure, she’s such a kind and caring person. She offered for us to text her for more accommodation, but also kept her distance throughout our stay. We hope that we can come back in the future.
