The property is idyllically located, 10 km outside of Amsterdam. Excellent bus connection to the center every 15 minutes. Great place to relax, after an exciting, exciting day in interesting Amsterdam.

My stay at this accommodation was truly amazing! The village was charming and peaceful, and although it took about 20 minutes by bus and train to reach the city center, the beautiful scenery made the journey feel effortless. Brenda, the host, was incredibly welcoming, offering thoughtful hospitality with drinks and chocolates upon arrival. The apartment had a home cinema with a projector and Netflix account, as well as a smart home system that made the stay even more enjoyable. I am very happy with this place and deeply appreciate their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Very lovely place in a beautiful location. Bus stops are near the housing ~10 min walk. Bus goes straight to Amsterdam 15-20 min drive. Loved that althought the little town where the housing was wasn’t far from Amsterdam, it was quiet and peaceful, so definetly recommend if you want to explore Amsterdam or other busy places but also want to get some rest from the big city life. Monnickendam itself is also worth exploring. Host was also really lovely. Since our flight arrived early in the morning and we didn’t want to explore around with our luggage, we had an early check-in. She also gave us a lot of information and helped with every question we had (gave us information how to get from the airport to the housing, places to explore, good places to eat in the local town, etc.) Thank you for housing us, Caroline! Had a great time there and we are thankful for everything you did! 😊

we were very satisfied with the accommodation. The location is great for exploring Amsterdam or Keukenhof, bike tours, visit beautiful towns, short trip to the sea, etc. 2 bicycles are provided where you can reach the bus stop in about 5 minutes for Amsterdam Central (by bus about 10 minutes). The location of Air Bnb is very quiet and in the middle of nature. It has mosquito nets on every window which is great. You have beautiful sunsets. Ilpendam is the nearest village with a small shop for the essentials, including rolls, etc. Ilpendam itself is also very pretty, 5 minutes by bike. The place was great that there were terry towels. Great kitchen with everything you need. It was also clean. In the garden you have to visit chickens cat, dog or wild bunny every now and then.

We went with our three teenage children and stayed five nights in July. We all had a lovely time there. Maike is a good host, the property is spacious and clean, great kitchen, lovely bathroom and shower and good wifi in most rooms, we were all really comfortable. Bus to Amsterdam was about ten minutes walk from the house. Regular bus services, cheapest way seemed to be to pay by bank card, you tap your card on the way in and on the way out of the bus. About €3 each way. A return was only for north of Noord so would not recommend if you're only going in and out of Amsterdam. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed at Rina's House with our family of 5 after a few days in the city center of Amsterdam. It was a great change of pace to have a more calming and home-like atmosphere. The nearby bus stops made it very easy to get do trips to nearby towns or back into Amsterdam. There was some traffic noise from the nearby road, but that also meant that busses were frequent and plentiful! Noortje was responsive and helpful. Overall we would highly recommend Rina's House!

Johan's place is a real gem! It is located in Volendam, which is a lovely location in itself, with harbour, lots of shops and restaurants, walks and easy access to the bus into Amsterdam and Zaanse Schans. We parked for free about 150m walk away, and used Johan's helpful video instructions to find the house easily. The house is like an Ikea showroom, excellent use of space and there was plenty of room for four of us. We slept very well as it is a peaceful area. Lots of hot water for showers, too. We would really recommend a stay here, as it exceeded our expectations both in terms of the house and the Volendam area. We visited the Upside Down House, A'dam Lookout and swing, Our Lord in the attic museum, Zaanse Schans and went on a boat cruise with Those Dam Boat Guys. Would recommend it all. One last tip...we bought a GVB regional public transport ticket which allowed us to travel all over the place by bus, ferry, train and Metro with no hassle. Thankyou, Johan and Jessie!

Excellent stay, Volendam has a lot to offer. Erik is a very attentive host, the place was warm and comfortable.
