Lovely view of the river and great to have free secure parking it was a perfect flat for two to spread out in (second bedroom might be a bit small if two were sharing it). Well equipped kitchen, hot and powerful shower. Both bedrooms are on the road side so there is some traffic noise all night, but still slept well. Great hosts allowed us the flexibility of a late check out. Would definitely book again next time we’re in town.

Hexham is a beautiful town in the North East and Ian's place is superbly situated just a short stroll down the road and you're at the Abbey and the centre of town opens up with the Theatre, Cinema, shops and eateries in abundance. Short drives away are Beamish, Alan Banks, Hadrian's Wall, Blanchland and the stunning drive from Blanchland to Stanhope, Corbridge and much more. After a day out it's an absolute joy to return to the apartment which was always warm and welcoming. The apartment was well laid out had everything you could need for any length of stay, we were there for 2 weeks, and I do mean everything. Ian was a very responsive owner and very friendly coming out of his way to say "hello" and see if we were ok. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained and the lounge was large and well laid out with excellent decor, it felt like home. One added advantage was a parking permit for the street. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

This place is a great find. Ben is a proactive host and the flat was spotlessly clean. It’s really quiet in the flat and parking is very convenient on the street outside. There are loads of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Getting into the city on the metro is also straightforward. A great place to stay.

Great location near the seafront, easy check in and nice to have own gated car park, can get full but nearby car parks make it ok and were cheap, excellent to have tea, coffee and milk in room which was a nice touch, as I didnt expect it, very modern, good shower and bathroom, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, host was amazing always responsive and always happy to help with any questions, we would stay again

Lovely apartment absolutely fit for purpose and as described. Felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. Perfectly situated within walking distance to 2 metro stations.

This is our second stay in a Wooden Star Cottages property and it won't be our last. The furnishings are immaculate, the kitchen is properly outfitted, and the location is outstanding. There are many thoughtful details in the property, but the best recommendation is the bed and linens are top-notch and everyone in our party including a three year old, slept wonderfully well. Thank you Sam and Vicky for your hospitality. We look forward to staying with you, again!

This was a fun place to stay. There are two grocery stores right around the corner. Just a couple minutes walk. The one down size is our van did not fit in the parking spot. You cannot park a tall car here.

Our stay at Chris’s for work was so homely, the house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is very well thought out, the beds were very comfortable as was the lounge area. We would definitely use Chris’s again the next time we’re up that way

Emily was an amazing host—friendly, responsive, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. The house itself was absolutely lovely, cozy, and exactly as shown in the pictures, which is always a relief when booking online. The hot tub was a fantastic feature, set in a quiet and tranquil garden that provided the perfect space to relax and unwind. It truly made the stay extra special. Absolutely beautiful little spot. Very private, clean and tidy. Loads of modern touches and a brilliant layout to the house. Comfortable and a nice big tv situated perfectly for viewing. Gorgeous little garden and garden undercover area to relax. Host was very friendly and responsive. Amazing value for money too. Would definitely stay here again. Nice little extra feature like garden lighting and stair lighting too which made it feel more of a home than just a place to stay. All in all an amazing experience

The house is lovely, it's in a quiet road with off-street parking. It's within easy walking distance of the gorgeous village green which leads to the high street with lots of amenities. I felt comfortably at home from the moment I arrived. Could not have been happier.

Great find a few minutes drive from metro centre. Place was spacious clean and perfect for our shopping trip. Hosts were fantastic and provided us with everything required before our stay. Would highly recommend.

Had the loveliest few days here. Best instructions ever to find it and easy to get in. Great base for touring round the area - went to Beamish and Durham. Lovely outlook and a couple of great restaurants within walking distance. Apartment was clean, warm and amazingly well equipped. Graham was an excellent host.

As always - lovely apartment, beautiful surroundings. Stayed with Ian a few times now and this time was just as a high a standard as always. Well worth a stay if you’re in the area

We had a lovely stay and the communication was great throughout.

Just one nights stay so just needed a place to put our heads down. The property was very homely and if we had needed to use the kitchen it was very well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and the property was a good temperature. Bathroom was spotless as was everything else. If we found ourselves back in Durham at any point we would definitely stay again

A forty min walk to the centre but stops on the way if you want a pub or cafe , lovely location and the flat is spotless , we had five people there and it’s very roomy . An xl uber is 10 pound to the centre . Nice pub for drinks and food underneath the apartment. My sat nav to me to the back of the flat but soon worked out what we had done . Ideal place for exploring Newcastle and a great host , flat is superb We think this will become a yearly booking for us

This flat was perfect for my daughter and me while staying in Newcastle for a week. The flat itself was lovely, clean and in the perfect location. So many great restaurants within a 5 minute walk, right along the Quayside for morning runs and very quiet at night! We would recommend to anyone.

We four family members had a delightful stay in the Sea Glass Suite from the fabulous view of Roker Pier and the beach to the attractive, spacious accommodation and comfortable beds. We'd love to stay again in future.

Karen had thought of absolutely everything that we might need in the apartment!!!! She has done such a great job of making it a real home from home in terms of how it is equipped especially the kitchen and the bathroom, and the place was spotless and inviting. We really enjoyed our stay and Karen was also so friendly and helpful in the run up to our stay and on our arrival even helping me with my luggage! We loved it! Thanks again Heather and Nicki xx
