Vacation rentals with breakfast in Walker

Delightful couple. Will definitely stay there again. Close to the beach, antique shops, restaurants! Beautiful, fun memories made there.

Kim was a fabulous host! She contacted me as I was traveling with updates. She made sure the driveway was salted to prevent slipping. It was like going home for a visit. She showed us our rooms, and had so many extras. We had access to snacks and water upon our arrival. My daughter had forgotten to pack an item and she was able to find it in a basket set out for us. Kim provided a nice selection of food for our breakfast. Everything was laid out for us as we had an early morning event. Every room we used was immaculately clean. There were fresh linens on the bed and choices of pillows. We felt very welcomed, and enjoyed visiting with her. She was very flexible with checkout time! Any time we have to return to Holland I will be checking to see if she has an opening for us to stay. Thank you for making our trip a home away from home!!

We actually ended up having to cancel at the last minute so we didn’t get to stay. However, Brooke was very responsive and kind. Even though we did not get to stay there hopefully another we will and I’ll definitely look it up for the next time.

Truly an unbelievable stay. Stephanie went so far above and beyond. The house was beautifully decorated for our stay right before Christmas, and she even left a gift for my husband's birthday that we were celebrating. The house itself is absolutely stunning. Everything is fully stocked, incredibly clean, and very comfortable. The master bedroom and bathroom are beautiful! I highly recommend this stay to anyone wanting to enjoy downtown Grand Rapids. You will not regret it!

From booking to staying for well over a month at this location, the hosts made me feel at home, welcome, and that I was in a safe and inviting environment. Julia and Jim made me feel right at home. The place and its surroundings were wonderful. I’m so thankful for their hospitality. They were both very kind and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying with them and would definitely come back.

Cute house, plenty of beds and places to sleep. Great restaurants in walking distance. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond while staying. The only recommendations would be to have a fire pit, the weather was great and would have loved to spend more time outside.

The house is a really cool early 1900s grand house in an incredibly nice neighborhood with two frank lloyd wright houses down the street. The house has all of the original features with tile bathroom and huge bathtub and awesome shower. Real neat to stay in such a well kept house! Breakfast was full on homemade gourmet with fresh peach tart and cool egg dish. Jane is a great cook!

We only had one night available to stay in Douglas and felt so lucky to find a spot at The Forest Inn. The updated property was just stunning and I wish there had been more time to enjoy just sitting on the wraparound porch or lounging in the games room. We did get a chance to dip into the pool, which was so peaceful. We saw deer roaming in the woods nearby the first afternoon and again while eating breakfast on the porch. I just loved every bit of our comfortable stay. It's walking distance to a favorite local beach and the walk along Lakeshore Drive with coffee in the morning was really relaxing. We'd love to stay again and plan to bike around the neighborhood and over to the downtown spots we love in both Saugatuck and Douglas. Definitely recommend a stay here.

We loved our stay! It was very comfortable, the food was great and the location was amazing! We loved the extremely short walk to the private beach. We also took advantage of the free bikes, our bike rides were one of my favorite memories. Very beautiful place and lovely hosts.

This is one of the top places we have ever stayed. Exquisitely decorated and comfortable inside and out, Dennis and Jim have created a warm and welcoming home. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs room, which included an extremely comfortable bed, a nice size bathroom and a separate living room area which overlooked the common living room and large glass windows displaying the garden and river beyond. Breakfast was on a whole other level. Jim greeted us with freshly brewed coffee. Dennis, a long time chef, used his talents in preparing scrumptious meals. Best of all was the wonderful conversations with Jim, Dennis and the other guests. The backyard garden is gorgeous with a comfortable sitting area to enjoy and relax. Included with our stay was free use of the kayaks or a canoe to enjoy the kalamazoo river. We had a great stay and look forward to our return the next time we are in the area. 😎

This was my first experience at a true bed-and-breakfast. Dennis and Jim are amongst the nicest people I have ever met. Their home is beautiful, the location is serene and peaceful, the bed is luxurious and comfortable, the views are unparalleled, and there is true love in the hospitality service that they provide. Breakfasts were all wonderful (but the quiche was my favorite) and it was so nice to get to know the other guests as well as hear about Dennis and Jim’s local recommendations during that time. I cannot wait to come back!

We had a good stay at Guest House! Jeanne is a delight and the atmosphere is relaxed and well kept. Breakfast always had lots of variety and options. Jeanne makes great homemade muffins and jam that was always part of breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
