Truly a wonderful escape just a couple hours from the city. The cabin is much nicer than pictures. Open kitchen and living room concept. Amazing property on the lake. Great views and super cozy!

We had a great time staying in this beautiful and comfortable space. It had everything we could hope for and was perfectly clean. The air felt and smelled fresh as we walked in the door. It was spacious and well appointed with extras like condiments, games and puzzles. There was a dog gate and potty bags in case we brought our pets. We didn’t bring ours this time but might in the future because we definitely want to stay here again. There were plenty of clean linens and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were great. The coffee was delicious and there was tea too. We didn’t use the air fryer, but it was nice to have that and the gas stove in case we wanted to cook. Thank you for a great stay!

This place was a breath of fresh air. I've noticed a trend on AirBNB of rentals that are obviously flipped investment properties with no character and no evidence of life: this place is the opposite! Charming, comfortable, with hosts who actually know the area and live in the area. This is a great family option when visiting the surrounding Hudson Valley towns. I hope I can get back here soon!

We loved every minute of our stay at The Painted Turtle cottage. The location is private and quiet and gorgeous. The house itself is delightful; we were comfortable as soon as we stepped inside. Everything is thoughtfully arranged, cozy, very clean. We only had two nights and so it was important that we didn't have to spend any time adjusting or settling any issues--there were none! We loved the hot tub, which we enjoyed under a clear sky with a full moon! Highly recommend this gem--we left checking our calendars trying to figure out when we can return. Thank you, Ellen!

Simon's house is absolutely perfect. It has a big yard with beautiful views (including from the picture window above the kitchen sink) and our dog loved running and playing all over the grounds. The house itself is probably the best of the many we've stayed at in the Catskills. It's more modern in terms of amenities and decor than your typical upstate Airbnb, but it still has rustic touches appropriate to the setting. The bed in the primary bedroom is unbelievably comfortable, the en suite bathroom has a heated floor (!), the towels were fresh, and the living room large and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the small sitting/reading room in the front of the house with a cozy gas-powered fireplace. The location is unbeatable, less than 10 minutes from Livingston Manor, arguably the premier Catskills town. You will not do better than the Manor Lookout, and we can't wait to return.

Cute cabin tucked away in the Catskills, not too far from lots of different hiking trails. Hot tub was great, outside area was very peaceful at night, and I felt very cozy the whole time. There is a wood burner in the bedroom but be careful if you feed it too much it the room gets VERY warm haha. Overall a lovely experience, and the host is a nice guy, super communicative and accommodating.

My wife said she wanted a peaceful getaway that included a fireplace and have the kids entertain themselves so she can relax on her birthday. When I found this house, it had a location not far from NYC (2hrs) and had all the amenities we were seeking (fireplace, game room, hot tub, view of the lake). As soon as we arrived, we noticed everything was exactly as it was described on the listing, the family was so excited. The kids made good use of the game room, we used the fireplace, fire pit, and hot tub. I would love to come back in the summer, the access to the lake and a few steps to the beach area. An incredibly quaint and comfy stay. The place was warm, spacious and delivered on our needs. Would stay there again.

Kurk’s airbnb is exceptional. I would highly recommend this unit. It was very nicely decorated, has everything you need, very well cleaned & taken care of. Kurk is very quick to respond and takes pride in his rental. Would definitely rent again for future trips.
