Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Valparaiso

Jeannette's place was an older home as described, but it was very cozy and felt like a nice family vacation cabin in a nice peaceful location. We had the best sleep at her cabin. There were actually 2.5 bathrooms, which was a nice surprise and made it easier to get ready in the morning. She also had standard cable which was appreciated, considering most airbnb's now have you use your own streaming accounts with no access to TV channels. Also, filtered water was provided. A nice location to stay in the Chicago area - we would stay there again.

Well-maintained house, spotless upon arrival, great view of the area from the kitchen. Ice machine was a great touch especially with a bunch of people in the house! Would definitely come back!

Brittany was very responsive and the home was clean and looked like the pictures. We had a great time and would rent again.

Really enjoyed Tim's place. It was very spacious and clean and the space had a great vibe. It was centrally located to a lot of restaurants and places and the hot tub was huge. Nice quiet location. Would definitely stay here again.

This lake house was so cute! It was clean and organized. Any questions I had were answered very quickly. Loved that fact that we could take a 5-minute walk into town and go to the local cafe for meals. As our stay was not for vacation, we didn't make full use of the river/kayaks but it looked like fun and we enjoyed the porch. If you are not used to trains going by at night, bring a sound machine. I was very glad I had one. The pictures are accurate but you should be aware that the stairs to the loft bedroom are located in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The only full shower is located in the third bedroom. We just weren't paying close attention to realize this. All in all, very nice home to stay in, but there is little privacy because of the stairs and the shower, and also because the loft overlooks the living room/kitchen so the sound and light travel right up. We were 6 people flying in from 2 states staying for 3 nights for a family funeral so this suited our purposes nicely.

We loved this place and would absolutely come back. Good amount of space, cute home with nice amenities, and was clean and tidy. The hosts were very communicative which made our trip all the more smooth. Would highly recommend!

Another great stay at Amy's and this time it was for Christmas. Great location as I could park my truck and take Lyft wherever I needed to go and not have to worry about parking, directions, etc. Amy's place is not just neat and tidy but is exceptionally clean (bathroom, too!) All three bedrooms are comfortable and quiet as is the entire neighborhood. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and I was even able to make a hot crab dip with the utensils and dishes that were found in the kitchen. During this stay I also had a question for Amy and, as usual, she was super-quick to respond. Her place is usually booked up in advance so I'd recommend booking as early as possible. Have stayed there regularly over the past few years and it's the one true constant in an everchanging and bustling big city.

Elena’s cozy basement suite was very clean and reasonably priced for being so close to both Chicago and Evanston. Private parking was an added gift. The bed was comfortable and all of the linens smelled fresh.

I had a really nice stay at Jon’s place. Very big space and well kept. Great hosts. Good location in Hyde Park near 53rd street restaurants and shops and the Whole Foods on Hyde Park Blvd

Such a wonderful stay in Bridgeport!! Thanks to Juan and Nelly for their hospitality and personal touches around the unit. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It was a great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We will be back for sure!!

This is one of the most responsive hosts I've encountered. They checked on us multiple times during our stay and were quick to answer any questions. The unit was spotless and just as pictured. We were there during an extreme freeze when the air temperature was -1 Fahrenheit (-15F with windchill) yet the apt had plenty of heat. The host provided clear, and comprehensive entry instruction and was kind enough to let us check in a little early since we had an early morning flight. There were unexpected touches like coffee and laundry detergent. The neighborhood is quiet and there's plenty of street parking. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

My friend and I enjoyed staying in this very clean and spacious apartment. I slept on the bed and the futon in the living room, and both were very comfortable as was the provided bedding. The bathroom was a good size, and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners and other reviewers have mentioned footsteps from the upstairs apartment. At times we heard them, but they did not bother us at all. However, since we were both excited and exhausted from our activities during the day, we decided to use the provided white noise machines since we found them very relaxing. We slept very well each night! I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Chicago.

I loved this Airbnb, is was FULLY STOCKED, even came with hair dryer and flat iron that me and my friend totally forgot that SAVED THE DAY, also their bathroom soaps (shampoo, conditioner, body soap) smelt sooo gooddddd I was excited to get in the shower haha!!! Was a great stay, more than enough hangers and blankets to keep cozy, and the little deck outside was sweet even tho it was snowing LOL! Obv they can’t control that! 😂overall 10/10 was very content and had a blast!

We enjoyed a nice 4 day weekend at Colin's place. Listing was as described and shared spaces were comfortable for a group if you elected to spend the evening inside. Neighborhood was nice, safe and offered many shops and restaurants nearby. Colin was very communicative and friendly. I would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

Super apartment, very clean, bathroom good. Everything, especially kitchen, well equipped. John always responded immediately and guided you how to get in the apartment. 100% recommended

I have stayed at Yuyi’s place multiple times. It’s big, airy and very comfortable. I had special circumstances this last trip and Yuyi was very accommodating. I highly recommend this place .

I’ve stayed at one of his places before and both times super clean, easy to get to. Josh was always so quick to reply. Bonus was it included parking! Will stay with him again

This place was great and very accommodating for our for our family of 6 (parents & 4 young adult kids). We were able to walk everywhere. Hosts were very communicative and very responsive. And, what a surprise to wake up to a delivery of Stan's Donuts!!! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago.

This location was perfect for our weekend trip. It was located right by the subway station and easily accessible by car. The space was clean and there were plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked. We were there for the Chicago Marathon and the route went right through Chinatown. There is parking available on the street in front of the listing but there is also a public parking lot a couple blocks away.

The Airbnb was amazing, I had a few friends stay with me we had a nice time the host is very helpful and nice always responding fast if I needed anything . Overall stay was great.
