Vacation rentals in Valdes Island

Super location with beach access for great low tide walks. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops close by, a few are walking distance the rest are a short drive. Andrew's place is very quiet, nicely appointed, has everything you need, very comfortable. Highly recommend checking it out if you're coming to Parksville !

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

Wonderful cottage just on the edge of Rathtrevor. We had friends camping in the park and we didn’t want to camp with a toddler so this was the perfect solution. Pet friendly, private, quiet. Cottage had everything you’d need. Host was very responsive and helpful. Had high chair, pack and play, baby gate. Would stay again!

Lynna and Dennis’s cottage was the single best airbnb experience we’ve had. The space is beautiful and cozy, and our hosts were infinitely kind and welcoming. There is so much to do on this property—it was a true “choose your own adventure” experience. It seemed like every day we discovered a new nook or cranny that Lynna and Dennis have put there to surprise and delight guests. We kayaked, explored the tide pools, lit the wood stove when it got chilly out, and had an all around wonderful time. Their recommendations for things to try around the island were spot on. (Check out the whale watch they suggest—we had a blast, and learned a lot about the region!) There is so much more to be done and enjoyed on this property and on Orcas than we could fit into four days, and we sincerely hope we’ll have the chance to return soon!

Sherri's cottage is exactly as described, and there is much to appreciate about this special place. The home is located at the end of a private road and provides a peaceful environment with incredible views and no distractions. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked, the home is very clean, and organized in a purposeful manner where it seems that every need has been addressed. As a longtime island resident, Sherri is connected to the community and maintains high standards for her properties. It was a pleasure to work with a host who is so invested in ensuring a positive experience for her guests and I look forward to returning in warmer weather!
