We had an incredible 5-night stay at The View. The property is truly outstanding, offering every facility you could need for a perfect self-catered holiday. The attention to detail and comfort was exceptional, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is excellent, providing breathtaking views and convenient access to explore the islands. Whether you want to relax or go on adventures, this place has it all. Trondur is an excellent host —communication was fantastic, with fast and friendly responses to any questions. Their hospitality added so much to our experience, making us feel welcome and well cared for. We highly recommend The View to anyone visiting the Faroe Islands. It’s an exceptional property, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you are a photographer the location is 11/10. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

The apartment has a good and quiet location with a beautiful view that we enjoyed every day very much. In addition, parking is available directly at the apartment. Maud is a very friendly and helpful hostess with very good information. We felt comfortable and welcome.

This place is truly special - it felt like staying in a fairytale, with the clouds hovering over the valley that is the literal end of the road. Take the time to do the full village walk, from the cottages to the waterfall, along the cliff up above the tiny village of Gasadalur, where you get to meet the horses and see the Highland cows. The cottage itself is very well thought out and indeed cozy!

Beautiful house nestled in the quiet village of Bour. Close to the airport, and still near enough to other larger cities that it was a perfect location to close out our Faroe adventure. The house is charming and fits into the age of the city. The bedrooms are right next to each other, but both have enough space to move around. You can walk down to the black sand beach, and even do a cold plunge or a swim :) Tips: -Rent a car, helps a lot on the islands. -The house is very close to the main waterfall and the lake above the ocean. Both are hikes worth doing. -The capital city is about a 45 minute drive and is worth visiting. Tons of great restaurants. -There are two local gyms you can get day passes to if you’d like (10 min drive). -There is a nice grocery store 5-10 minutes into town that supplied us with everything we needed to eat at the house when we wanted. -People are friendly and literally everyone speaks English, Danish, and usually another language.

Cosy cottage by the sea

Ena's cottage was so nice and cozy! What a nice view of the harbor from the large windows that spanned the width of the south facing wall. If I hadn't wanted to go out and see the rest of the Faroes I would have been content to just relax and look out the windows. The cottage is perfect for one person or a couple. It has everything you need for a great stay. Plenty of blankets, regional books, cooking utensils, pots and pans, spices, coffee maker, toiletries, etc. I could have spent my entire week based out of here. The pictures and listing are very accurate. The only thing to make note of is the bed is up a ladder in the loft and is a tight fit with the ceiling. If you have any issues with climbing or tight spaces this might not be for you. Ena and her husband were very kind and very responsive to any of my questions. And Ena surprised me with a small gift on my last night. What a nice touch! I would definitely love to stay here again when I return to Vestmanna.

Susanna was an excellent host and had some good tips in her booklets. The house was immaculate and cosy. Perfect for a family of 4. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room very pleasant to unwind after a day touring the islands. The house looks beautiful and is in a quiet village. Perfect to recharge the batteries.

Our stay at Annikas place was really nice. The house is very charming. The place was clean and we had almost everything we needed. The neighborhood was very quite and the views were also very nice. Annika was always helpful and has answer our questions very fast.

The house was in a wonderful location, and the perfect place to stay with children. My 3 year old really enjoyed going for walks on the path along the river just outside. The view was beautiful, and the house was clean and well kept upon arrival. The house is also in a central location in the Faroe Islands. Easy to get to from the airport and perfect as a homebase in the Faroe Islands to easily make day trips around the country.

A separate cabin, loved the decoration style, the living room is very large, the heating is sufficient, the kitchen utensils are very well equipped, and it is very comfortable to live and cook here.The location is nice, easy to go to the airport and to the supermarket.It should be noted that the route to the house, be sure to take the avenue, do not take the field path in google map, it is a little scary to go wrong at night.All in all highly recommended!

EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! The apartment is super clean, fresh and well appointed with everything one might need. If showers are important to you, this one is the BEST! It’s a perfect location, close to the airport and right in the middle of venturing north or south to all the sights & hikes on the island. Would love to stay here again!

Very nice accommodations. The host is very responsive and helpful. Central location. Supermarket next door and airport 5 minutes away. There is a busy soccer/football stadium right next to the house and therefore expect some noise during the games which sometimes extend into the late evening.
