Family-friendly vacation rentals in University Endowment Lands

We had an amazing time at The Captain's Quarters on beautiful Galiano Island. It was very easy to find thanks to Henny's helpful instructions. We felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the door, and were greeted with the impeccably decorated walls and adorable place setting. The cabin has all the modern amenities one could ask for while retaining an old-school, cozy atmosphere with its navy-themed memorabilia. The upstairs is full of charm with its clawfoot tub and the bed is very comfortable. The only downside is having to climb down the ladder whenever you want to pop to the loo. The hot tub is very private and romantic, with subdued Christmas lights allowing you to see the stars on a clear night. There are tons of great hikes nearby, and a well-stocked organic grocer's. And of course the welcome basket full of farm produce and house smoked salmon was the nicest touch. Thank you so much Henny & The Captain, we hope to be back soon in your little corner of paradise!

It was a great stay. We really enjoyed the neighborhood proximity to area attractions and great restaurants. We also enjoyed the staff for their kindness.

Denise and Hans are the epitome of perfect hosts! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured every detail of our stay was flawless. The chicken house is charming, cozy, and impeccably clean—thoughtfully designed with rustic charm and modern comforts. Our favorite part of the stay was the food fire sauna, which they set up for us at our preferred time. It was an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to unwind. We’ve stayed at many Airbnbs on the Sunshine Coast, but this one stands out as our favorite because of how genuinely caring and accommodating Denise and Hans are. They go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay possible. We couldn’t ask for better hosts and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, unique, and welcoming place to stay! This was our second visit to the Chicken house, but certainly not our last.

We loved our stay at Peter’s home. Having the beach right at your finger tips is amazing! We spent hours digging for sea glass with our kids and swimming in the ocean. The neighbourhood was also great and walkable to lower Gibsons!

Lesley and Adam were amazing hosts to interact with. They remained extremely responsive and had great recommendations! Highly recommend this unit to anyone going to Rogers Arena or BC Place, right next door!! Costco is nearby for stocking up and we had great walks to Gastown and local restaurants! Also, the listing mentions a washer and "drying rack", but they have installed a dryer in unit, which is great! I will be back here again next time i'm in BC!

If you are thinking of staying at Lauren’s House, do not hesitate - the photos do not do it justice. Lauren has great taste and my wife and I have taken one or two ideas from the way Lauren has designed and laid out the living room / kitchen. The flow of the living space is great and the oversized deck is great for relaxing and dining on. Add to that Lauren’s husband’s amazingly user friendly and consistent has bbq and you’ve got all the key ingredients for a great family holiday.

We had a great time staying at Darren’s place. It’s exactly as described, close to restaurants and easy to get around the city from.

Sharon was wonderful from start to finish and the place was perfect for our little weekend friend getaway. The house is beautiful, conveniently located, and we thought even better than described. Everyone had such wonderful things to say. Thank you Sharon for hosting us! Five stars in all regards.

Stayed a night for Taylor Swift and this spot was so cute and so perfect! Near enough to easily navigate to BC Place by train but away from the madness of downtown. Super close to commercial drive which had tons of good restaurants and cafes. The spot itself was so charming and adorable- perfect place to get ready for the concert and so easy to get in and out. Mieke also accommodated us with an early check in so that we could get ready and back downtown for concert festivities. Highly recommend!

We had such a great stay over Thanksgiving with our family of four. We loved the modern feel to the unit and all the big windows and natural light. The beds were really comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. We were close to great coffee, restaurants and markets for groceries. We will definitely book again.

We had a wonderful experience. Ward was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The property was exactly as described, clean, and well-maintained. It was perfect for our dog as well and he had fun discovering the huge backyard

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway to Vancouver BC. It was very close to a lot of great food and other things that we were planning to do. The whole experience was great and stress free. Even had a "greeter cat" that we came across a few times on the sidewalk that was super friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

Gail's house was the perfect accommodation for the month-long Vancouver trip of our big family. The three spacious rooms, many beds, and the well-equipped kitchen made everything a breeze. The location and the view is nothing short of fantastic. Full view of Greater Vancouver in the sunset, and morning walks on the hill's serpentine roads create a very relaxing environment. Having a car is highly recommended, with easy accessibility and parking. Gail was a very responsive host, helping us out with anything we needed. We have experienced zero problems with the accommodation throughout the month.

One of my all time favorite stays. Tabitha is a wonderful host and her place is perfect. Highly recommend and I hope to be back for a visit. Peaceful, comfortable, beautiful property, close to restaurants, grocery stores and an excellent bus system. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet place. The beds were super comfy! Awesome access to trout lake park for evening/am walks. The space was perfect for the 4 of us. The Sat farmers market down the street was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend this place. Total thumbs up.

While I witnessed guests of OTHER airbnb hosts in the building struggle with access, I had no problems. Shan provided excellent instructions for us to gain entrance to their building and secured parking. Yes, the area outside at street level can occasionally be loud with late night revelers and homeless people. And yes, you don't have to walk far to witness drug use in public at night. But we never felt unsafe, and these issues were far outweighed by the numerous positives. The location and view, with close proximity to Gastown, tons of restaurants, coffee houses, the Sky Train, Rogers Arena, Robson Street not far, and even a little Costco hidden around the corner, make this location excellent. Shan's condo provided everything we needed inside, while the surrounding area provided everything we needed within walking distance outside. Great airbnb for a fair price. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Definitely recommend.

Ryan is a super host and his apartment had the best location for the event we attended at BC Place. 5-10 minute walk. His apartment is literally stocked with everything for a great stay. Right across the street from great grocery store so you can whip up some food if you want to stay in. He also left wine and chocolate and a fridge with some drinks. His kitchen is well stocked with spices and all the equipment you need. He has supplied the pad with a notebook of instructions. Highly recommend his place. We hope to stay again. Vancouver is a blast!!!

Everything was exactly as pictured. Had a good stay and the staff was very friendly. Short push to sit in a meeting for timeshares but they were fine with me saying no thanks. Overall good stay.

Mona was always quick to respond and helpful with recommendations on what to do around Vancouver.

Very comfortable home. I know some people might find the bed in a closet weird, but the pictures appropriately captured that. Plus it was great for our kids because we didn't need to worry about early wake ups because the room stayed dark! And gave them a separate sleep space. We really appreciated the AC units. Everything was great!

Alex made my visit to Vancouver seamless and comfortable! Location is easily accessible with public transportation, and walking distance to plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. Room matches the description, shared spaces in the apartment are spotless, and the amenities in the building are a great plus!
